1. Introduction

3. Setup and Connectivity

3.1. Connectivity Modes

The EA75 MAX keyboard supports three connectivity modes: Wired (USB Type-C), 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. The mode switch is located on the back of the keyboard.

3.2. Wired Connection (USB Type-C)

• Connect the provided USB A-to-C cable to the keyboard's Type-C port and your computer's USB port.
• Ensure the mode switch on the keyboard is set to 'USB'.
• The keyboard will be recognized automatically by your system.

3.3. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

• Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver, typically stored in a compartment on the keyboard.
• Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
• Set the mode switch on the keyboard to '2.4G'.
• The keyboard should connect automatically.

3.4. Bluetooth 5.0 Connection

• Set the mode switch on the keyboard to 'BT'.
• On your device (computer, tablet, phone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
• Select 'EA75 MAX' from the list of available devices to pair.
• The keyboard can store up to three Bluetooth connections (FN+1/2/3).

The EA75 MAX is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android operating systems. Note that Mac modifier keycaps are not included.

4.1. Customizable TFT Screen and Multi-function Knob

The keyboard features a TFT screen and a multi-function knob for enhanced control and information display.

• Screen Display: Monitor time, keyboard battery life, connectivity status, and operating modes. The screen can also display custom GIFs.
• Knob Functionality: Adjust RGB backlight settings, volume, and other customizable features.

4.2. RGB Backlighting

The EA75 MAX offers vibrant RGB backlighting with 19 dynamic lighting effects and over 16.8 million colors.

• Toggle Backlight Colors: Press FN + TAB to cycle through different backlight colors.
• Toggle Backlight Effects: Press FN + \| to switch between various lighting effects.
• Adjust Brightness: Use FN + Down Arrow to decrease brightness and FN + Up Arrow to increase brightness.
• Adjust Effect Speed: Use FN + Left Arrow to decrease effect speed and FN + Right Arrow to increase effect speed.
• Toggle Lightbar Colors: Press FN + Z to cycle through lightbar colors or turn it off.
• Toggle Sidelight Effects: Press FN + Right Shift to cycle through sidelight effects.
• Toggle Sidelight Brightness: Press FN + Right Alt to adjust sidelight brightness.
• Toggle Sidelight Colors: Press FN + /? to cycle through sidelight colors.

4.3. Hot-Swappable Switches

The keyboard features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing users to change mechanical switches without soldering. It is compatible with 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style mechanical switches.

• Use the included 2-in-1 tool to carefully remove keycaps and switches.
• Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.

4.4. Programmable Software

The EA75 MAX comes with powerful custom driver software for advanced personalization.

• Key Remapping: Customize individual key functions.
• Macro Recording: Create and edit complex macros for streamlined workflows or gaming.

4.5. Ergonomic Design

The keyboard is designed for comfortable typing with a 2-stage adjustable kickstand and Cherry profile keycaps that fit the natural movement of fingers.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Keyboard

• Disconnect the keyboard from your device before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and chassis.
• For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using the provided puller and use compressed air to clear debris from between switches.
• Ensure the keyboard is completely dry before reconnecting.

5.2. Keycap and Switch Care

The PBT keycaps are durable and resistant to fading. When replacing switches, handle them carefully to avoid bending the pins.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Connectivity Issues

• No Connection: Ensure the keyboard is charged and the mode switch is set correctly (USB, 2.4G, or BT).
• 2.4GHz/Bluetooth Disconnection: Try re-pairing the device. For 2.4GHz, ensure the receiver is securely plugged in. For Bluetooth, check your device's Bluetooth settings.
• Interference: Move the keyboard closer to the receiver/device or away from other wireless devices that might cause interference.

6.2. Backlighting Not Working

• Check if the backlight brightness is turned down (FN + Down Arrow).
• Ensure the keyboard is not in a low power mode or that the battery is sufficiently charged.
• Use the programming software to verify backlight settings.

6.3. Keys Not Responding

• If individual keys are not responding, try replacing the switch for that key, as it is hot-swappable.
• Ensure the keyboard is properly connected and powered on.
