5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your DEEPOWER S20 Electric Bike.

5.1 Routine Checks

  • Tires: Check tire pressure weekly. Recommended pressure is typically listed on the tire sidewall. Inspect for punctures or excessive wear.
  • Brakes: Regularly check brake lever feel and pad wear. Adjust brake cables as needed to maintain proper tension.
  • Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. A dry or dirty chain can lead to poor shifting and premature wear.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and nuts (handlebars, seat post, wheels, crank arms) for tightness.
  • Suspension: Inspect suspension components for any leaks or damage. Keep stanchions clean.

5.2 Cleaning

Clean your bike regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components, bearings, or seals.

5.3 Battery Care

  • Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures.
  • If the bike is not used for an extended period, charge the battery to 50-70% and store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 1-2 months.
  • Only use the charger provided by DEEPOWER.
