Setup
1. Wiring Installation
Before proceeding, ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.

- Identify the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from your power source and to your appliance (e.g., light).

2. eWeLink App Installation
Download the eWeLink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Search for "eWeLink" in your device's app store.
- Install the application.
- Register a new account or log in with an existing one.
3. Device Pairing
Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The SONOFF Basic R2 does not support 5.0GHz WiFi.
- Power on the SONOFF Basic R2.
- Open the eWeLink app.
- Tap the "+" icon at the bottom of the app interface to add a device.
- Select "Quick Pairing Mode" or follow the on-screen instructions for alternative pairing methods if quick pairing fails.
- Confirm the device is in pairing mode (usually indicated by a rapidly blinking LED).
- Enter your 2.4GHz WiFi network name and password.
- The app will search for and connect to the device. Once connected, you can rename the device.
Operating Instructions
1. App Remote Control

After successful pairing, you can control your SONOFF Basic R2 from anywhere using the eWeLink app. Tap the device icon to toggle it on or off. The app also displays the real-time status of the device.
2. Scheduled Automatic Control

The eWeLink app allows you to set various timers and schedules:
- Scheduled Timing: Set specific times for the device to turn on or off daily or on selected days.
- Countdown Timing: Set a countdown for the device to turn on or off after a specified duration.
- Loop Timing: Configure the device to cycle on and off repeatedly for set intervals.
3. Smart Scene Creation
Create smart scenes to automate interactions between multiple SONOFF devices or trigger actions based on conditions.
- In the eWeLink app, navigate to the "Scene" section.
- Define conditions (e.g., another device turning on, time of day) and actions (e.g., turn on/off the Basic R2).
4. Hands-free Voice Control

The SONOFF Basic R2 is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Link your eWeLink account to your voice assistant app (Alexa app or Google Home app) to enable voice commands.

5. Group Control

6. LAN Control
The LAN control function allows you to operate the device even when the internet connection is unavailable, provided your smartphone, the SONOFF device, and the router are all connected to the same local network.

Troubleshooting
- Device not connecting to WiFi:
- Ensure your router is operating on a 2.4GHz WiFi network. 5.0GHz networks are not supported.

- Device offline in app:
- Check your home internet connection.
