2. Safety Information

Your safety and the safety of your pet are paramount. Please observe the following precautions:

  • Weight Limit: This litter box is suitable for cats weighing between 1.5 kg and 10 kg. Do not use for pets outside this weight range.
  • Sensor System: The unit is equipped with 12 intelligent sensors, including interior infrared sensors, waste bin infrared detection, entry radar sensors, and precision weight sensing. The system automatically pauses cleaning if a cat approaches or enters the unit. Do not attempt to bypass or disable these safety features.
  • Litter Type: Use only clumping cat litter. Non-clumping, crystal, or silica gel litters are not suitable and may damage the unit.
  • Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface indoors. Avoid placing it near heat sources, in direct sunlight, or in areas with high humidity.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your new litter box:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Position the litter box on a flat, stable surface in a suitable location. Ensure there is enough space around the unit for proper ventilation and access.
  3. Install Waste Bag: Pull out the waste bin from the bottom of the unit. Insert a trash bag neatly and flat into the waste bin. Then, slide the waste bin back into place until it clicks securely.
  4. Add Litter: Pour clumping cat litter into the main chamber. Ensure the litter level is between the MIN and MAX lines indicated inside the unit. Do not overfill.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the unit and then into a wall outlet. The unit will perform a self-test.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press the power button on the front of the unit to turn it on or off. The unit will enter standby mode when powered on.

5.2 App Control (2.4GHz WiFi)

The Gimars litter box can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app (compatible with iOS and Android). Ensure your device is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network during setup.

  1. Download App: Search for the 'Gimars Pet' app in your device's app store and install it.
  2. Pair Device: Follow the in-app instructions to pair your litter box with your smartphone.
  3. Remote Cleaning: Initiate a cleaning cycle from anywhere, anytime.
  4. Status Monitoring: View the litter box status, cat weight, and activity logs.
  5. Settings: Adjust cleaning delay times, enable sleep mode, and manage deodorization settings.

5.3 Automatic Cleaning

The litter box is designed to automatically clean itself after each use. The sensors detect when your cat has exited the unit and initiate a cleaning cycle after a set delay (customizable via the app).

5.4 Manual Cleaning

You can manually initiate a cleaning cycle using the buttons on the unit:

  • Remove Only Cat Litter: Press the cleaning button once to sift and collect waste into the waste bin.
  • Remove All Cat Litter: Press and hold the cleaning button for 5 seconds to empty all litter from the main chamber into the waste bin. This is useful for full litter changes.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying the Waste Bin

The 8-liter sealed waste bin can hold waste for up to 12 days, depending on cat usage. When the waste bin is full, the app will notify you, or you can check the indicator light on the unit.

  1. Ensure the unit is in standby mode or powered off.
  2. Pull out the waste bin from the bottom of the unit.
  3. Carefully lift the trash bag, tie it securely, and dispose of it.
  4. Insert a new trash bag and slide the waste bin back into place.

6.2 Cleaning the Unit

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.

  • Disassembly: The main chamber and other components are designed for easy disassembly for thorough cleaning. Refer to the diagram for guidance.

The unit features an aroma box design. You can place a deodorizer or aroma soap in this compartment to further reduce odors. The sealed waste bin also helps contain unpleasant smells.
