1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your COWSAR Electric Kettle, Model OP-GK2208EB. This appliance is designed for heating water to precise temperatures, offering features such as custom keep-warm settings, ambient lighting, and multiple safety protections. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.
2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions carefully.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or electric kettle in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact customer support for assistance.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- The kettle is equipped with auto-shutoff when boiling, overheating, and dry-boil protection. Do not attempt to bypass these safety features.
- Ensure the lid is securely closed during operation to prevent scalding from hot steam.

4. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the kettle for any damage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to the MAX line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Filling the Kettle
- Press the one-key button on the lid to open it.
- Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Ensure the water level is between the 'MIN' (0.5L) and 'MAX' (1.7L) markings on the glass body. Do not overfill or underfill.
- Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.
5.2 Powering On and Setting Temperature
- Place the filled kettle onto the 360° cordless power base.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The kettle will beep once, and the digital display will briefly show '212℉' before displaying the current water temperature.
- Rotate the temperature control knob located under the handle to select your desired temperature between 104℉ and 212℉. The selected temperature will flash twice before the display shows the actual water temperature.
- Press the power button once to begin heating. The ambient LED light ring will illuminate and change colors as the water heats up, indicating the temperature progression.

5.3 Keep-Warm Function
To activate the Keep-Warm mode:
- After selecting your desired temperature, press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds.
- The display will show a 'Keep-Warm' icon, indicating the function is active. The kettle will maintain the set temperature for up to 2 hours.
- Removing the kettle from the base will cancel the Keep-Warm function. To reactivate, place the kettle back on the base and repeat the steps.
5.4 Boiling Process and Auto-Shutoff
The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches the set temperature. You will hear three beeps indicating that the heating cycle is complete. The kettle also features boil-dry protection, which automatically turns off the heating element if there is no water inside or if it boils dry.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle.
- Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
- Interior Cleaning: The interior of the kettle, made of 304 food-grade stainless steel and borosilicate glass, is easy to clean. Rinse with clean water.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
- Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
- Bring to a boil and let it stand for 30 minutes.
- Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- For stubborn deposits, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.
- Do not immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your kettle, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
