Setup Guide

1. Physical Assembly

  1. Place the feeder on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Insert the stainless steel bowl into the designated slot at the base of the feeder.
  3. Open the lid and insert the desiccant bag into its compartment to keep food fresh.
  4. Fill the food hopper with dry pet food (kibble size 2-15mm recommended).
  5. Close the lid securely.

2. Power Connection

Connect the feeder using the provided power adapter and USB-C cable. For backup power during outages, install 3 D-cell batteries (not included) in the battery compartment at the bottom of the feeder. Note that camera and Wi-Fi functions are temporarily disabled in battery-only mode.

3. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Download the "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Register or log in to your Smart Life account.
  3. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi network.
  4. Open the app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon, and follow the on-screen instructions to add your Faroro Pet Feeder. The feeder supports both Bluetooth pairing for initial setup and dual-band Wi-Fi for stable remote control.
  5. Once connected, the Wi-Fi indicator light on the feeder will be solid blue.

4. Camera Adjustment

The integrated 1080P HD camera has a 120° wide-angle lens and offers two downward adjustment levels. Gently hold the feeder and adjust the camera angle to view the food bowl remotely.

Operating Instructions

1. Scheduling Meals via App

Use the Smart Life app to create a customized feeding schedule for your pet.

  • In the app, navigate to the feeder's control interface.
  • Select the "Schedule" option.
  • Set up to 15 meals per day.
  • For each meal, specify 1 to 30 portions, with each portion being approximately 8-10g.
  • Save your schedule. The feeder will dispense food automatically at the programmed times.

2. Manual Feeding

To dispense food manually, press the manual feed button on the feeder's control panel or use the app's manual feed function. The feeder features a lock function to prevent accidental dispensing by pets. Long press the button or use the app to unlock the screen touch function.

3. Two-Way Audio and Voice Recording

Communicate with your pet using the two-way audio feature or record a 10-second personalized message to call them for meals.

  • Access the two-way audio function through the Smart Life app.

4. Monitoring and Notifications

The 1080P HD camera provides live video feed with night vision, allowing you to monitor your pet's activities and food bowl. The app will send real-time notifications for important events.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene for your pet and optimal feeder performance.

  • Stainless Steel Bowl: This bowl is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
  • Food Hopper, Lid, Rotor, and Bowl Tray: These parts are fully removable and can be washed with water.
  • Feeder Base: The base contains electronic components and should not be submerged in water. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
  • Desiccant Bag: Replace the desiccant bag periodically (e.g., monthly) to maintain food freshness.
