Setup Instructions
1. Powering the Monitor
Connect the provided power adapter to the monitor's USB-C power input and then to a power outlet. The monitor requires sufficient power to operate, especially when connected via Mini HDMI.
2. Connecting to a Device
The Bettdow AC1083 Pro offers two primary connection methods:
- Single Cable Connection (USB-C to USB-C): If your device (laptop, smartphone, etc.) has a full-featured USB-C port that supports video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) and power delivery, you can connect the monitor using only the provided Type-C to Type-C cable. This cable will transmit both video signal and power.
- Dual Cable Connection (Mini HDMI + USB-A to USB-C): For devices with an HDMI output (e.g., desktop PC, gaming console), use the Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable for video transmission. Additionally, connect the USB-A to Type-C cable from your device's USB-A port or a separate power adapter to the monitor's USB-C power input for power. Note: The Mini HDMI port does not supply power. An external power source (20W or higher) is required.

Image: This diagram illustrates the two main ways to connect the Bettdow AC1083 Pro monitor to a source device. The first method uses a single USB-C to USB-C cable for both video and power. The second method uses a Mini HDMI cable for video and a separate USB-A to Type-C cable for power, emphasizing the need for an external power source when using HDMI.
3. Positioning the Monitor
Use the smart magnetic case as a stand to position the monitor at your desired viewing angle. The stand allows for both landscape and portrait orientations.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press and hold the ON/OFF/Return button located on the side of the monitor to power it on or off.
2. Adjusting Brightness and Volume
Use the Brightness +/- buttons to adjust the screen brightness. Use the Volume +/- buttons to control the audio output level from the integrated speakers.
3. On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu
Press the OSD button to access the On-Screen Display menu. Use the Volume +/- and Brightness +/- buttons to navigate through the menu options and make adjustments. Press the ON/OFF/Return button to exit the menu or go back to the previous level.
4. Display Modes (Windows/macOS)
Once connected to a computer, you can configure the display mode:
- Duplicate Mode: Mirrors your primary screen, ideal for presentations or sharing content.
- Extend Mode: Extends your desktop, allowing for multitasking across two screens.
- Second Screen Only: Displays content only on the portable monitor.
These settings are typically adjusted within your operating system's display settings.
5. Portrait/Landscape Orientation
The monitor's physical stand allows for a 90° rotation. After rotating the monitor, you may need to adjust the display orientation in your device's display settings (e.g., Windows Display Settings or macOS System Preferences) to match the physical orientation.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Screen
Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a non-abrasive screen cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
2. General Care
- Avoid exposing the monitor to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
- Do not place heavy objects on the monitor.
- Keep the monitor away from liquids and dust.
- Always use the provided smart case for protection during transport.
Troubleshooting

- Verify that your source device is powered on and outputting a video signal.
- If using Mini HDMI, confirm the monitor is receiving adequate power from the power adapter.
- Try a different cable or port on your source device.
- Check your device's display settings to ensure the external monitor is detected and enabled (e.g., Extend or Duplicate mode).

- Ensure the power adapter is correctly connected to both the monitor and a working power outlet.
- If using a single USB-C cable, ensure your device's USB-C port supports power delivery.
- Try a different power outlet or power adapter if available.
3. Image Flickering or Poor Quality
- Check the video cable for damage or loose connections.
- Adjust the brightness and contrast settings via the OSD menu.
- Ensure your source device's resolution and refresh rate are compatible with the monitor's specifications.
4. No Sound
