4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Screen

  • Always turn off the monitor and unplug the power cord before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a specialized screen cleaner.
  • Wipe the screen gently to remove dust and smudges. Avoid applying excessive pressure.
  • Do not use alcohol, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the screen surface.

4.2 Cleaning the Casing

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the monitor casing. For stubborn dirt, a lightly dampened cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Power / No Display

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet.
  • Verify that the power outlet is functional.
  • Press the power button on the monitor.

5.2 No Signal

  • Check that the video cable (HDMI or DisplayPort) is securely connected to both the monitor and your computer's graphics card.
  • Ensure the correct input source is selected on the monitor via the OSD menu.
  • Try a different video cable or input port on the monitor/graphics card.

5.3 Screen Flickering or Distortion

  • Check the video cable for damage or loose connections.
  • Ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date.
  • Verify that the refresh rate and resolution settings in your operating system match the monitor's capabilities.
  • If experiencing random blackouts or image distortion (e.g., black and red), try restarting the monitor and checking all connections. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

5.4 Backlight Issues / Off-Center Viewing

This monitor utilizes a VA panel. VA panels typically offer excellent contrast but may exhibit slight color or brightness shifts when viewed from extreme off-center angles. This is a characteristic of the panel technology and not a defect. For optimal viewing, position yourself directly in front of the monitor.

5.5 Refresh Rate Discrepancy

While the monitor supports up to 160Hz, achieving this refresh rate depends on the resolution. For example, some users have noted that 144Hz may be the maximum at 2560x1440 resolution, while 160Hz is achievable at 4K UHD (3840x2160). Ensure your graphics card and cable bandwidth can support the desired resolution and refresh rate combination.

5.6 No Internal Speaker

This monitor does not include built-in speakers. Audio output is available via the 3.5mm earphone jack for connecting external speakers or headphones.
