Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts. It will power off automatically when the vehicle is turned off.

2. 3-Channel Recording

The CHENSIVE A98 records simultaneously from three cameras: front (4K/2160P, 170° wide angle), cabin (1440P, 150° wide angle), and rear (1080P, 160° wide angle). This provides comprehensive coverage of your driving environment.

3. Loop Recording

The dash cam features loop recording, which automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked footage with new recordings when the SD card is full. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

4. G-Sensor (Automatic Incident Detection)

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden shakes or collisions. When an impact is detected, the current video footage is automatically locked and protected from being overwritten, preserving critical evidence.

Maintenance

Care and Cleaning

  • Regularly check the mounting to ensure the dash cam is securely attached.
  • Clean the camera lenses periodically with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality.
  • Do not expose the device to high temperatures for extended periods. If it overheats, disconnect the power and allow it to cool down.
  • Format the SD card monthly to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Dash Cam not powering on: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet. Check the vehicle's 12V power outlet for functionality.
  • Video footage is unclear: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lenses. Check the video resolution settings.
  • SD card full: The loop recording function will automatically overwrite the oldest files. Ensure emergency locked videos are manually deleted if no longer needed. Consider upgrading to a larger capacity SD card (up to 128GB supported).
  • Parking mode not working: Ensure the G-sensor sensitivity is set appropriately. For 24-hour parking monitoring, a hardwire kit (sold separately) is required.
  • Rear camera not displaying: Check all cable connections between the rear camera and the main unit. Ensure the rear camera is properly powered.
