Setup
1. Initial Camera Charging
Before initial use, it is recommended to charge the camera's built-in 8000mAh battery for at least 6 hours using the provided USB charging cable. This ensures stable continuous recording and operation.
2. NVR Connection
- Connect the NVR to a power outlet using its power adapter.
- Connect the NVR to your router via an Ethernet cable for network access.
3. Camera Installation and Pairing
The cameras are designed for outdoor installation and do not require wiring for power. Mount the camera in a location with good sunlight exposure for optimal solar charging.

Figure 2: System Setup Steps. This diagram illustrates the four main steps for setting up the SOVMIKU security camera system: 1. Powering the camera and NVR, 2. Connecting the camera to the NVR wirelessly, 3. Connecting the NVR to the network, and 4. Downloading and binding the EseeCloud app via QR code.
The cameras will automatically pair with the NVR once both are powered on and within range. Refer to the NVR's specific instructions for adding or re-pairing cameras if needed.
4. App Setup (EseeCloud)
To enable remote monitoring and control, download the free EseeCloud app on your smartphone or PC.
- Download the EseeCloud app from your device's app store or by scanning the QR code provided in the NVR's quick start guide. You can also find the app at https://m.danji100.com/app/129021.html.
- Create an account and log in.
- Add your NVR to the app by scanning the QR code on the NVR or manually entering its device ID.
- Once the NVR is added, the connected cameras will appear in the app for live viewing and control.
Operating
1. Remote Monitoring
Use the EseeCloud app to view live footage from your cameras, access recorded videos, and manage settings from anywhere with an internet connection.
2. AI Motion Detection and Notifications
The camera features PIR motion detection to identify human movement. When motion is detected, the system will send instant notifications to your smartphone via the EseeCloud app.

Figure 3: Motion Detection Notification. This image shows a smartphone displaying an EseeCloud app notification, indicating that motion has been detected by the camera.
3. Two-Way Audio
The built-in microphone and speaker allow for two-way audio communication. You can listen to the camera's surroundings and speak through the camera using the EseeCloud app.

Figure 4: Two-Way Audio and Coverage. This image illustrates the camera's ability to provide 360-degree coverage (355° horizontal, 90° vertical) and its two-way audio feature, allowing for communication through the camera.
4. Night Vision Modes
The camera supports both infrared night vision and full-color night vision modes, providing clear surveillance footage even in low-light conditions. The system can automatically switch between modes.

Figure 5: Night Vision Modes. This image compares the camera's smart night vision auto-switching capability with its infrared night vision mode, showing clear visibility in dark environments.
5. Video Recording and Compression
The NVR records footage locally. The system utilizes H.265 video compression technology, which significantly reduces storage space requirements while maintaining video quality compared to older H.264 compression.

Figure 6: H.265 Compression Benefit. This diagram illustrates how H.265 video compression can reduce data storage requirements by approximately 50% compared to H.264, for recordings of the same quality.
6. Camera Control (Pan/Tilt)
The camera offers a wide surveillance range with 355° horizontal pan and 90° vertical tilt capabilities, controllable via the EseeCloud app.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly clean the camera lens and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal performance. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
2. Battery Care
The integrated solar panel helps maintain the camera's battery charge. In periods of low sunlight, or if the battery level drops significantly, you can recharge the camera using the USB charging cable.
3. Firmware Updates
Periodically check the EseeCloud app for available firmware updates for your NVR and cameras. Keeping the firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.
Troubleshooting
- No Power to Camera: Ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving adequate sunlight. Check the battery level in the app. If low, charge via USB.
- No Video Feed: Verify the camera is powered on and within range of the NVR. Check NVR network connection. Restart both camera and NVR.
- Motion Detection Not Working: Check motion detection settings in the EseeCloud app. Ensure the camera's view is clear and not obstructed. Adjust sensitivity if necessary.
- Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure there is sufficient lighting. Check network bandwidth if streaming remotely.
- NVR Offline: Check the NVR's power and Ethernet cable connections. Restart your router and NVR.
