Setup Guide

1. Charging the Controller

Before first use, fully charge the controller using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the cable to the controller's USB-C port and to a power source (e.g., PC USB port, USB wall adapter). The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. A full charge typically takes 3-4 hours.

2. Connecting the Controller

The Starforge controller supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz Wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C Wired.

2.1. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode (PC/Desktop)

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB dongle (usually stored in the controller or packaging).
  2. Plug the USB dongle into an available USB port on your PC.
  3. Set the connection mode toggle switch on the back of the controller to the 2.4GHz wireless icon.
  4. Press and hold the Home button on the controller until the indicator light flashes, then becomes solid, indicating a successful connection.

2.2. Bluetooth 5.3 Mode (PC, Android, iOS)

  1. Set the connection mode toggle switch on the back of the controller to the Bluetooth icon.
  2. On your device (PC, Android, iOS), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  3. Select "Cosmic Byte Starforge" from the list of available devices.
  4. The indicator light on the controller will become solid once paired.
  5. For iOS devices, ensure MFi (Made For iPhone/iPad) support is enabled in your device settings if required by the game.

2.3. USB-C Wired Mode (PC)

  1. Connect the USB-C cable to the controller and the other end to your PC's USB port.
  2. The controller will automatically switch to wired mode. No additional pairing is required.

Operating Instructions

1. TMR Replaceable Joysticks

The Starforge controller features Tunable Magnetic Resistance (TMR) joysticks with swappable modules. This allows you to customize joystick tension for different gaming preferences.

Swapping Joystick Modules:

  1. Gently pull the joystick cap upwards to remove it.
  2. Carefully remove the existing joystick module.
  3. Insert the desired new joystick module (60gf, 70gf, 120gf, or 150gf) into the slot, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  4. Replace the joystick cap.

2. Optical Triggers with Trigger Locks

The optical triggers provide precise and rapid actuation. The trigger locks allow you to adjust the travel distance of the triggers.

Using Trigger Locks:

  • Locate the trigger lock switches on the underside of the controller.
  • Toggle the switch to reduce trigger travel for faster response in games like FPS.
  • Toggle the switch back for full trigger travel, suitable for racing games or precise control.

3. Macro Back Buttons (M1-M4)

The four programmable back buttons (M1, M2, M3, M4) allow you to assign complex button combinations or single functions for quick access.

4. ABXY Button Switching
