Setup
1. Charging the Device
The device is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the tape measure using the provided USB Type-C cable.
- Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the device.
- Connect the Type-C end of the cable to the tape measure and the USB-A end to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The battery indicator on the digital display will show charging status. A full charge supports up to 5000 measurements.

2. Attaching the Wrist Strap
For easy portability and to prevent accidental drops, attach the included wrist strap to the designated loop on the device.

1. Power On/Off
- To power on the digital display, press the M/ON button.
- To power off the device, press and hold the C/OFF button. The device will also automatically shut down after 120 seconds of inactivity to conserve energy.
2. Basic Measurement (Retractable Tape)
The PREXISO digital tape measure features a traditional retractable tape for physical measurements. The tape is nylon-coated for durability and includes both metric and imperial markings.
- Pull out the tape blade to the desired length.
- The digital display will show the measurement in real-time.
- To retract the tape, press the blade control button located on the side of the device. The auto-retract feature ensures safe and controlled retraction.

3. Digital Display and Accuracy

4. Unit Switching
The tape measure supports 6 metric and imperial units:

To switch units, press and hold the UNITS button for 2 seconds. The Ft+in format supports both decimal and fractional inch displays.
5. Measurement Reference
The device offers two measurement reference modes: post-datum (from the front of the device) and pre-datum (from the back of the device). This is crucial for accurate internal and external measurements.
- Short press the UNITS button to toggle between inside (pre-datum) and outside (post-datum) measurement references.
- Pay attention to the reference point indicated on the display to ensure correct readings.

6. Magnetic Hook
The magnetic hook allows the tape measure to firmly attach to metal surfaces, facilitating stable and accurate measurements, especially for single-person operation.

7. Advanced Measurement Modes (Length, Area, Volume)
The device can calculate length, area, and volume. To access these functions:
- Long press the FUNC button to cycle through Length, Area, and Volume modes.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to input the required dimensions for Area (length x width) or Volume (length x width x height).

8. Data Memory
The device can store up to 50 groups of measurement data, allowing you to retrieve previous readings without needing to manually record them.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the tape measure in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the tape blade is fully retracted before storage.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device when the battery indicator is low. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% every few months.
Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the Type-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
- Display shows "Out of Range" or incorrect readings: Retract the tape blade completely, then press the C/OFF button to restart the measurement. Ensure the measurement reference point is correctly selected.
- Inaccurate measurements: Verify that the measurement reference point (inside/outside) is correctly set for your task. Ensure the tape is pulled straight and taut.
- Tape blade not retracting smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the tape path. Ensure the blade control button is fully pressed.
