Operating Your Tracker Tags

  • Track Far Away Items: If your item is beyond 262 feet, the Find My network will help you locate it. The app will display the most recent location on a map, updated by other iOS devices in the vicinity.
  • Left Behind Reminder: Your iOS device will send a notification if you leave a Boomcore Tag behind and it goes out of connection range. This notification will include the last known location of the tag.

Troubleshooting

  • Tag Not Connecting: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS device and the tag's battery is active. Try resetting the tag by removing and reinserting the battery.
  • Sound Not Loud Enough: Check for any obstructions around the tag that might muffle the sound. Ensure the tag is not deeply buried in soft materials.
  • Inaccurate Location: Location accuracy depends on the proximity of other iOS devices in the Find My network. In areas with fewer Apple devices, location updates might be less frequent or precise.
  • Battery Life Issues: Ensure you are using a fresh CR2032 battery. Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance.
  • Compatibility: Boomcore Tags are compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models running iOS 14.5 or later. Multi-User Sharing requires iOS 17/iPadOS 17/macOS 14 or later. These tags are not compatible with Android devices.
