No complex setup is required for the Reshow Laser Lens Disc Cleaner Kit. Ensure your CD or DVD player is powered on and ready to accept a disc.

Operating Instructions

1. Cleaning the Player's Laser Lens

1. Gently insert the Reshow CD Cleaning Disc into your CD or DVD player's disc tray.
2. Close the disc tray. The player will automatically begin the cleaning process.
3. A short audio message, typically "Cleaning takes 5 minutes," will play, followed by a left/right sound channel check and a musical selection. This indicates the cleaning process is active.
4. Allow the disc to play until the musical selection ends. This signifies the completion of the cleaning cycle.
5. Remove the cleaning disc from the player. Your player's laser lens is now cleaned.

The cleaning disc features advanced mirror microfiber brushes designed to efficiently remove dirt without scratching the optical lens. During playback, these brushes gently sweep across the lens surface, ensuring thorough cleaning.

2. Cleaning Physical Discs

1. Apply 3 to 5 drops of the provided Cleaning Solution onto the surface of the dirty CD or DVD.
2. Using the Microfiber Cleaning Cloth, gently wipe the disc from the center outwards in a straight line. Avoid circular motions.
3. Continue wiping until the disc surface is clean and dry.

Maintenance

The Reshow CD Cleaning Disc is reusable and designed for approximately 30 cleaning cycles. A check-off sheet is typically included in the packaging to help you track usage. For optimal performance of your players, it is recommended to clean the laser lens every few days or as needed, especially if you notice playback issues.

Troubleshooting

• Disc Skipping or Reading Errors: If your CD or DVD player is experiencing skipping, freezing, or difficulty reading discs, perform a cleaning cycle with the Reshow CD Cleaning Disc. Dust and debris on the laser lens are common causes of these issues.
• Poor Audio/Video Quality: A dirty laser lens can degrade playback quality. A cleaning cycle can restore clarity.
• Cleaning Solution Effectiveness: If physical discs remain dirty after cleaning, ensure you are using enough solution (3-5 drops) and wiping gently with the microfiber cloth from the center outwards.

Note: This CD cleaner is designed to clean the laser lens and disc surfaces. It does not repair damaged discs or enhance picture quality beyond restoring the original playback clarity.
