4.2 Propeller Installation

Attach the propellers according to the markings (A and B) on the propellers and motor arms. Ensure they are securely fastened. Incorrect propeller installation can affect flight stability.

4.3 App Installation

Download and install the official LKHLTBF drone application on your mobile device. This app is required for 5G real-time FPV viewing and advanced flight functions. Refer to the QR code in the quick start guide (if provided) or search for the app in your device's app store.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Power On: Press and hold the power button on the drone and then on the remote control until the indicator lights illuminate.

Power Off: Press and hold the power button on both the drone and remote control until the indicator lights turn off.

5.2 Pairing the Remote Control

After powering on both the drone and remote control, the remote control will automatically attempt to pair with the drone. Wait for the indicator lights to stabilize, indicating a successful connection.

5.3 Calibration

Before the first flight and after any significant impact, perform calibration for optimal performance.

  • Gyroscope Calibration: Place the drone on a flat, level surface. Follow the instructions in the app or remote control to initiate gyroscope calibration.
  • Geomagnetic Calibration: Perform this calibration outdoors in an open area, away from magnetic interference. Follow the on-screen instructions or remote control prompts to rotate the drone horizontally and vertically.

5.4 Takeoff and Landing

  • One-Key Takeoff: After successful calibration and GPS signal acquisition, press the one-key takeoff button. The drone will automatically ascend to a safe altitude and hover.
  • One-Key Landing: Press the one-key landing button. The drone will automatically descend and land at its current position.

5.5 Flight Modes

  • GPS Positioning Mode: Provides stable hovering and precise positioning outdoors when a strong GPS signal is available.
  • Optical Flow Positioning Hover: For indoor or low-GPS environments, the optical flow sensor assists in maintaining altitude and position.
  • Drone performing optical flow positioning hover
Figure 5.1: Optical flow positioning hover. This image shows the drone hovering, indicating the use of optical flow sensors for stable positioning.
  • Headless Mode: In this mode, the drone's orientation is irrelevant; it will move relative to the pilot's position.
  • Waypoint Flight: Draw a flight path on the app's map, and the drone will automatically follow the designated route.
  • Orbit Flight: The drone will fly in a circular path around a designated point, providing a dynamic shooting angle.
  • Follow Me Mode: The drone will automatically follow the remote control or mobile device, tracking the user's movement.

5.6 Camera Operation

The V198 GPS MAX is equipped with dual 8K HD cameras, offering a 120° wide-angle view and 90° remote-controlled angle adjustment.
