1. Introduction
The EARMOR M16A Adapter Set is designed to securely mount your EARMOR M32 Plus tactical headset to helmets equipped with EXFIL 2.0 or 3.0 compatible mounting rails. This kit provides a stable and adjustable platform for your headset, enhancing comfort and functionality during use. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure proper use and safety.
2. Safety Information

- Secure Installation: Ensure all components are securely fastened before use. Loose connections can lead to equipment failure or injury.
- Proper Tools: Use appropriate tools, such as a Phillips head screwdriver for tension adjustment, to prevent damage to the adapters or your helmet.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the adapters for any signs of wear, damage, or loose components. Replace damaged parts immediately.

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install the EARMOR M16A Adapters onto your EXFIL 2.0 or 3.0 compatible helmet and attach your M32 Plus tactical headset.
4.1 Mounting Adapters to Helmet Rail
- Identify the left (L) and right (R) adapters. These are typically marked on the adapter body.
- Locate the EXFIL 2.0 or 3.0 rail system on your helmet.
- Gently lift the adapter's rail attachment mechanism.
- Slide the adapter onto the helmet rail from either the front or the rear. Ensure it slides smoothly into place.
- Once positioned, slide the adapter along the upper part of the rail to achieve the best fit for your headset earcups.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to adjust the tension screw on the adapter. Tighten it sufficiently to prevent unwanted movement, but do not overtighten.

4.2 Attaching Headset to Adapters

- Press the headset firmly into the adapter slots until it clicks securely into place.
- Verify that both earcups are firmly attached and do not wobble.

5. Operation and Adjustment
5.1 Rotational Adjustment
The EARMOR M16A Adapters feature a 360-degree rotational design, allowing you to fine-tune the position of your headset earcups for optimal fit and comfort. Gently rotate the earcups to adjust their angle and position relative to your ears. This feature is particularly useful for extended wear or when adjusting to different headgear.

5.2 Tension Adjustment
If the adapters feel too loose or too tight on the helmet rail, you can adjust the tension using a Phillips head screwdriver on the designated screw located on each adapter. Adjust incrementally until the desired stability is achieved without impeding smooth movement when intended.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the adapters with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the material.
- Storage: Store the adapters in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connection points for tightness. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain secure attachment.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Adapters do not fit helmet rail. | Incorrect rail system (e.g., ARC rail instead of EXFIL 2.0/3.0). | Verify your helmet has an EXFIL 2.0 or 3.0 compatible rail system. These adapters are not compatible with ARC rails. |
| Headset feels loose on adapters. | Headset not fully seated or attachment points are worn. | Ensure the headset is pressed firmly into the adapter slots until it clicks. Inspect headset attachment points for damage. |
| Adapters slide too easily on helmet rail. | Tension screw is too loose. | Use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the tension screw on each adapter incrementally until desired stability is achieved. |
