6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your liquid cooler.
- Dust Cleaning: Periodically clean dust from the radiator fins and fans using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off before cleaning.
- Cable Management: Ensure all cables are securely connected and not obstructing airflow.
- Visual Inspection: Occasionally check for any signs of leaks around the tubing and fittings. While rare, early detection can prevent damage.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your liquid cooler, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
7.1. No Power/Fans Not Spinning
- Check all power connections to the pump and fans.
- Ensure the pump and fan headers on the motherboard are correctly configured in the BIOS/UEFI.
7.2. High CPU Temperatures
- Verify that the water block is making proper contact with the CPU. Re-seat if necessary, ensuring even pressure.
- Check if thermal paste was applied correctly and sufficiently.
- Ensure fans are spinning at appropriate speeds and are oriented correctly for airflow (intake/exhaust).
- Confirm the pump is operating (you may hear a faint hum or feel vibrations).
7.3. Display Not Working
- Check the display's power and data connections.
- Ensure the TRCC software is installed and running correctly.
- Verify that the display module is securely attached to the cold head.
7.4. Unusual Noises
- Gurgling/Bubbling: This can be normal during initial startup as air settles. If persistent, gently tilt your PC case to help move air bubbles to the radiator.
- Fan Noise: Check for obstructions or loose fan blades. Ensure fan screws are tightened.
- Pump Noise: If the pump is excessively loud, ensure it's receiving adequate power and is not running dry.
