2. Safety Guidelines

  • Always operate the drone in open, clear areas, away from people, animals, and obstacles.
  • Avoid flying near airports, power lines, or other restricted airspace.
  • Do not fly in strong winds or adverse weather conditions.
  • Ensure the drone is fully charged and calibrated before each flight. Failure to calibrate on a level surface can result in uncontrolled flight.
  • Keep fingers and hair away from rotating propellers.
  • Adult supervision is recommended for younger users.
  • In case of a crash or if the drone tips over, recalibrate it before attempting to fly again.

4.1 Drone Overview

4.2 Remote Control Overview

The remote control provides intuitive access to all flight functions. It requires 4 AAA batteries (not included).

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Drone Battery: Insert the rechargeable drone battery into the drone's battery compartment. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  2. Charging: Connect the drone battery to the USB charging cable. Plug the USB cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter). The battery features over-voltage protection. Charge time is approximately 60-90 minutes for 10-12 minutes of flight per battery. Two batteries are included for extended flight time (20-24 minutes total).
  3. Remote Control Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert 4 AAA batteries (not included), observing correct polarity.

5.2 Propeller Installation and Guards

  1. Attach the propeller guards to the drone's arms by snapping them into place.
  2. If replacing propellers, ensure you match the correct propeller type (A or B) to the corresponding motor arm as indicated on the drone. Use the provided screwdriver for installation.

5.3 App Installation and Connection

  1. Download the dedicated drone application from your smartphone's app store (search for 'FERIETELF Drone' or scan the QR code in the quick start guide).
  2. Turn on the drone and your smartphone's Wi-Fi.
  3. Connect your smartphone to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named 'FERIETELF-T29-XXXX').
  4. Open the app to establish a connection and view the live camera feed.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Calibration

Important: Always calibrate the drone before each flight and after any hard landing or if the drone tips over. Place the drone on a flat, level surface for calibration.

  1. Turn on the drone and the remote control.
  2. Pair the remote with the drone (refer to quick start guide for specific pairing steps).
  3. Perform gyroscope calibration by moving both joysticks to the bottom-right corner simultaneously until the drone's lights flash and then become solid.

6.2 Takeoff and Landing

The T29 drone features a one-key takeoff and landing function for ease of use.

  • One-Key Takeoff: Press the one-key takeoff button on the remote control. The drone will automatically ascend to a stable altitude and hover.
  • One-Key Landing: Press the one-key landing button. The drone will slowly descend and land automatically.

6.3 Flight Controls and Features

6.4 Camera Operation

7. Maintenance

  • No camera feed in app: Verify that your smartphone is connected to the drone's Wi-Fi network and the app is open.
  • Short flight time: Ensure batteries are fully charged. Flight time can vary based on flight conditions (e.g., wind, aggressive maneuvers).
  • Remote control beeps: A 'DIDI' alert from the remote indicates low drone battery power. Land the drone immediately.
