Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new Farberware 0.9 Cu. Ft. Black Microwave Oven. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain for future reference.
Your microwave oven is designed for cooking, reheating, and defrosting various food items. It features 900 watts of power, 10 power levels, and 8 convenient auto-cook presets to simplify your cooking experience.

Safety Information
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons, or exposure to excessive microwave energy when using your appliance, follow basic precautions, including:
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not operate the oven if the door is damaged, or if the oven is malfunctioning.
- Do not heat liquids or other foods in closed containers as they are liable to explode.
- Do not allow children to use the oven without supervision.
- Only use microwave-safe cookware.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the oven yourself.
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials from the carton. Check the oven for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged.
- Placement: Place the oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight. Ensure there is adequate ventilation space around the oven (at least 3 inches on the sides and back, 12 inches above). Do not block air vents.
- Power Connection: Plug the oven into a standard 3-prong, 120V AC, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
- Turntable Installation: Place the roller ring in the center of the oven cavity. Place the glass turntable on top of the roller ring, ensuring it sits securely.

Setting the Clock
- Press the 'Clock' button once.
- Use the number pads to enter the current time (e.g., 1-2-3-0 for 12:30).
- Press 'Clock' again to confirm.
Basic Cooking (Time Cook)
- Place food in a microwave-safe container on the turntable.
- Press the 'Time Cook' button.
- Enter the desired cooking time using the number pads (e.g., 1-0-0 for 1 minute).
- Press 'Power' to adjust power level (optional, default is 100%). Use number pads 1-0 for 10%-100% power.
- Press 'Start/+30Sec' to begin cooking.
Auto-Cook Presets
The oven includes 8 one-touch auto-cook presets for common foods:
- Popcorn
- Potato
- Pizza
- Frozen Vegetable
- Fresh Vegetable
- Beverage
- Bread
- Meat
To use a preset:
- Place food in the oven.
- Press the desired preset button (e.g., 'Popcorn').
- Press 'Start/+30Sec' to begin. Some presets may require multiple presses to select quantity.
Express Cooking
For quick heating, simply press 'Start/+30Sec' to immediately start cooking for 30 seconds at 100% power. Each subsequent press adds 30 seconds to the cooking time.
Defrosting
The oven offers two defrost modes: Time Defrost and Weight Defrost.
- Weight Defrost: Press 'Defrost' once. Enter the food's weight using the number pads (e.g., 1.0 for 1 lb). Press 'Start/+30Sec'.
- Time Defrost: Press 'Defrost' twice. Enter the desired defrosting time. Press 'Start/+30Sec'.
Child Safety Lock
To activate the child safety lock, press and hold the 'Stop/Cancel' button for 3 seconds. The display will show 'LOC'. To deactivate, press and hold 'Stop/Cancel' again for 3 seconds.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your microwave oven.
- Interior: Wipe the inside of the oven with a damp cloth after each use. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Exterior: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Turntable: The glass turntable and roller ring can be removed for cleaning. They are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your microwave, refer to the following common solutions:
- Oven not starting: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Ensure the door is closed properly. Check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
- Food not heating: Verify that the cooking time and power level are set correctly. Ensure the door is fully closed.
- Unusual noise: Check if the turntable and roller ring are correctly positioned. Ensure no foreign objects are inside the oven cavity.
- Display shows 'LOC': The child safety lock is active. Refer to the 'Child Safety Lock' section to deactivate it.
