Key Features:

  • 8 UltraReach PoE Ports: These ports extend PoE and data transmission up to 2,600ft (800 meters). Note that bandwidth will be lowered to 10Mbps after 984ft (300 meters).
  • 2 High PoE+ Ports: The first two ports provide 45W High PoE+ output, suitable for powering large PTZ cameras or multi-imager cameras.
  • 2 Gigabit Uplink Ports: For high-speed connection to your network backbone.
  • Remote Cloud Management: Manage the switch via WEB GUI or RemoteMonit CLOUD, supporting VLAN, QoS, and PoE port management.
  • Built-in 130W Power Supply: Integrated power for convenience and reliability.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your LINOVISION POE-SWR410UR switch:

  1. Unpack the Switch: Carefully remove the switch and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Mounting (Optional): Use the provided mounting brackets and screws to secure the switch to a wall or rack if desired.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter cable to the AC inlet on the back of the switch and then plug it into a standard AC power outlet. Ensure the ground terminal is properly connected for safety.
  4. Connect Network Devices:
    • Connect your IP cameras, PTZ cameras, access points, or VoIP devices to the 8 UltraReach PoE ports (P1-P8).
    • For extended range beyond 984ft (300m) up to 2,600ft (800m), connect a POE-EXT3001LP (sold separately, ASIN: B0CTH7WNPK) at the remote end before the PoE device.
    • Connect your network router or main switch to the Gigabit Uplink ports (Uplink1, Uplink2) using standard Ethernet cables.
  5. Power On: Once all connections are secure, the switch will power on automatically. Observe the LED indicators for status.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your PoE switch.

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior of the switch with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid or aerosol cleaners. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate airflow around the switch. Do not block the ventilation holes. Operate the switch within its specified temperature range.
  • Cable Management: Keep network cables organized and free from kinks or excessive tension to prevent damage and ensure reliable connections.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the LINOVISION official website for firmware updates. Keeping the firmware updated can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.
  • Power Supply: Use only the provided power adapter. Ensure the power source is stable and within the specified voltage range.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your POE-SWR410UR switch, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power:
    • Check if the power adapter is securely connected to the switch and the power outlet.
    • Verify that the power outlet is functional.
    • Ensure the PWR LED indicator on the switch is lit.
  • No Link/Activity on a Port:
    • Ensure the Ethernet cable is properly connected to both the switch port and the connected device.
    • Try a different Ethernet cable to rule out cable failure.
    • Check the Link/Act LED for the specific port. If it's off, there's no link.
    • Verify the connected device is powered on and functioning correctly.
  • No PoE Output:
    • Check the PoE LED indicator for the specific port.
    • Ensure the connected device is a PoE-compatible device (IEEE802.3af/at standard).
    • Verify that the total power budget of the switch (130W) is not exceeded.
    • If using UltraReach PoE, ensure the POE-EXT3001LP is correctly installed and the remote device is PoE-compatible.
    • Access the cloud management interface to ensure PoE is enabled for the port and check power budget settings.
  • Network Connectivity Issues:
    • Check the uplink connections to your router or main network.
    • If using cloud management, verify network settings like VLAN and QoS configurations.
  • Resetting the Switch: If issues persist, you can perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the 'Reset' button on the front panel for approximately 5-10 seconds until the LEDs flash. This will restore default settings.
