Introduction

The EvoFox One S V2 is a versatile gaming controller designed for a wide range of platforms, offering three connectivity modes: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0+EDR, and wired USB-C. It features HallSense™ magnetic joysticks and analog triggers for precise control, a 1000Hz polling rate for responsive input, and programmable macro buttons. This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your controller.

Setup

The EvoFox One S V2 controller supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C. Choose the appropriate mode for your device.

2.4GHz Wireless Mode (Hyperconnect™ Dongle)

  1. Insert the Hyperconnect™ 2.4GHz wireless receiver into an available USB port on your PC, Android TV, or compatible console.
  2. Turn on the EvoFox One S V2 controller. The controller will automatically attempt to connect to the dongle.
  3. Once connected, the indicator light on the controller will stabilize, indicating a successful connection.

Bluetooth 5.0+EDR Mode

  1. Ensure your device (PC, Mobile, Android TV, iOS, iPadOS) has Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Put the EvoFox One S V2 controller into Bluetooth pairing mode (refer to the Quick Start Guide for specific button combinations, typically holding a specific button until the indicator light flashes rapidly).
  3. On your device, search for new Bluetooth devices and select "EvoFox One S V2" from the list.
  4. Once paired, the indicator light on the controller will stabilize.

Wired USB-C Mode

  1. Connect one end of the provided Type-C cable to the controller and the other end to an available USB port on your PC or compatible console.
  2. The controller will be automatically recognized by your device.

Note for PS3 Connectivity: To connect the controller to a PS3, use a USB cable first. Do not press the HOME button immediately. Wait until the console recognizes the controller, then begin operation.

Operating Instructions

Charging the Controller

The controller is equipped with a 400mAh battery. To charge:

  • Connect the provided Type-C cable to the charging port on the controller and to a USB power source (e.g., PC, USB wall adapter).
  • The indicator light will show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
  • The controller provides up to 10 hours of playtime with vibration, and 14-16 hours without vibration.

Macro Buttons (M, MR, ML)

The EvoFox One S V2 features programmable M, MR, and ML macro buttons on the rear of the controller for executing complex actions with a single press.

  1. Programming a Macro: Refer to the Quick Start Guide for detailed instructions on how to program sequences of button presses to the M, MR, or ML buttons.
  2. Using a Macro: Once programmed, simply press the assigned macro button to execute the recorded sequence.

Precision Mode

Activate Precision Mode to reduce the sensitivity of the HallSense 3D joysticks, allowing for finer, more controlled movements. This is particularly useful in games requiring high accuracy, such as first-person shooters or racing games.

  • Activation: Press the dedicated Precision Mode button (refer to the Quick Start Guide for location, typically a small button near the joysticks).
  • Deactivation: Press the Precision Mode button again to return to standard joystick sensitivity.

Turbo Mode

Turbo Mode allows for rapid, repeated input of a button press by holding down the assigned button. This can be beneficial in games requiring fast, continuous actions.

  • Usage: Once assigned, hold the button to activate rapid fire.

Vibration Feedback

The controller features dual vibration motors for immersive haptic feedback. The intensity of the vibration can be adjusted.

Auto Shut-Off

To conserve battery life, the controller features an intelligent auto shut-off function:

  • The controller will automatically power off after 10 seconds of disconnection from a device.
  • The controller will automatically power off after 5 minutes of inactivity while connected.

Maintenance

  • Keep the controller clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid dropping the controller or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble the controller, as this will void the warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Solution
Controller does not power on. Ensure the controller is charged. Connect it to a power source using the Type-C cable.
Controller does not connect via 2.4GHz.
  • Ensure the 2.4GHz dongle is securely inserted into a USB port.
  • Try a different USB port.
  • Ensure the controller is in 2.4GHz mode (refer to Quick Start Guide).
  • Re-pair the controller with the dongle if necessary (refer to Quick Start Guide).
Controller does not connect via Bluetooth.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Ensure the controller is in Bluetooth pairing mode (flashing indicator light).
  • Forget the device from your device's Bluetooth settings and attempt to re-pair.
  • Ensure the controller is within the 10m wireless range.
Joystick drift or inaccurate input.
  • The HallSense joysticks are designed to be drift-free. If experiencing issues, ensure the controller's firmware is up to date (check EvoFox support website).
  • Try recalibrating the joysticks through your device's controller settings if available.
Buttons are unresponsive.
  • Ensure the controller is properly connected and powered on.
  • Clean around the buttons with a soft, dry cloth to remove any debris.
  • Reset the controller using the reset button (refer to Quick Start Guide for location).
Controller disconnects frequently.
  • Ensure the controller is fully charged.
  • Reduce interference by moving closer to the receiver/device or away from other wireless devices.
  • For 2.4GHz, use the USB extender cable to position the dongle closer to the controller.
