6. Maintenance and Cleaning

  6. Reassemble: Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.

6.2 Espresso Machine Cleaning

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the espresso machine and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  3. Empty & Clean Drip Tray: Remove, empty, and wash the drip tray and grid.
  4. Clean Water Tank: Periodically wash the water tank with mild detergent and rinse well.
  5. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
  6. Descaling: Depending on water hardness and usage, descale the machine every 2-3 months. Follow the instructions of a suitable descaling solution.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SHARDOR coffee system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution

No coffee from espresso machine No water in tank; Portafilter clogged; Machine not preheated. Fill water tank; Clean portafilter/filter basket; Allow machine to preheat.
Espresso brews too slowly/quickly Grind size incorrect; Coffee tamped too hard/soft. Adjust grind size (finer for slow, coarser for fast); Adjust tamping pressure.
