1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your IKT Self Cleaning 4-in-1 Water Cooler Dispenser with Ice Maker. This appliance delivers hot, cold, and room temperature water, and also produces ice cubes. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of injury or property damage, basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances. Read all instructions before using this appliance.

  • Ensure the appliance is connected to a properly grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords.
  • Keep the appliance away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Maintain at least 4 inches of space from walls.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the appliance before cleaning or performing any maintenance.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Contact your retailer if damage is found.
  3. Remove all packing materials, including any protective films or tapes.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the dispenser on a flat, stable, and level surface.
  • Ensure the unit is in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance from walls to ensure proper airflow.

4.3 Installing the Water Bottle

This unit features a bottom-load design for easy water bottle installation.

  1. Open the lower cabinet door of the dispenser.
  2. Remove the cap from a standard 3 or 5-gallon water bottle.
  3. Insert the stainless steel probe into the opening of the water bottle. Ensure the probe is fully inserted.
  4. Carefully slide the water bottle into the lower cabinet.
  5. Close the cabinet door.

4.4 Initial Flushing

Before first use, it is recommended to flush the system:

  1. Plug the dispenser into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Allow the water reservoirs to fill. This may take a few minutes.
  3. Dispense at least two cups of water from each tap (hot, cold, room temperature) to ensure the system is primed and any air is removed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Water Dispensing

  • Cold Water: Place a cup under the cold water spout and press the cold water button.
  • Room Temperature Water: Place a cup under the room temperature water spout and press the room temperature water button.
  • Hot Water: This dispenser is equipped with a Child Safety Lock. To dispense hot water, first press and hold the Child Lock button, then press the hot water button. Release both buttons once the desired amount of hot water is dispensed.

5.2 Ice Making

The built-in ice maker produces bullet-shaped ice cubes.

  • Ensure the ice-making function is turned on via the control panel.
  • The unit can produce up to 22 lbs of ice daily.
  • Ice production typically takes about 7 minutes per cycle, yielding 9 pieces of ice.
  • Important Note: This appliance is an ice maker, not an ice freezer. It will produce ice, but it does not maintain the ice in a frozen state for extended periods. Ice will melt if not used promptly.

5.3 Self-Cleaning Function

The self-cleaning function uses UV light to sanitize the water reservoir.

  1. To activate, press and hold the ice-making button for 3 seconds.
  2. The indicator light will blink, and the power light will remain on.
  3. The cleaning cycle will run for approximately 10 minutes and then automatically shut off.

5.4 Energy Saving Mode (ECO)

To conserve energy, especially during nighttime hours:

  • Press the ECO button on the control panel to activate the energy saving function.
  • When ECO mode is active, the machine will stop heating water at night.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dispenser.

  • Drip Tray: The removable drip tray should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent overflow and bacterial growth. Wash with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Internal Cleaning: Utilize the self-cleaning function as described in Section 5.3. The internal UV lamp assists in maintaining hygiene within the cold water reservoir.

7. Troubleshooting
