2. Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the food chambers and bird bath is recommended to maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of diseases among birds. The removable silicone cover on the bird bath facilitates easy cleaning. The IP66 weatherproof rating means the unit can withstand rain and dust, but gentle cleaning with a damp cloth is advised for the camera lenses and solar panel to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power/Not Charging: Ensure the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight. Check the connection between the solar panel and the feeder. Verify the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Ensure the feeder is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restart the feeder and your router if connection drops persist. Follow the app's troubleshooting steps for re-pairing.
  • Inaccurate AI Identification: While advanced, AI identification may occasionally misidentify species, especially with partial views or unusual lighting. Cross-reference with field guides if unsure.
  • False Alerts: Motion detection can sometimes be triggered by squirrels, large insects, or strong winds. Adjust motion sensitivity settings in the app if available.
  • Poor Video Quality: Ensure camera lenses are clean and free from debris. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength for optimal streaming.
