5. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your Uwant B400 for use:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Position: Place the main unit on a stable, flat, and dry surface near an electrical outlet.
3. Fill Clean Water Tank:
   • Remove the 2-in-1 water tank from the main unit.
   • Fill the clean water compartment (usually marked) with tap water. You may add a suitable upholstery cleaning solution according to the solution manufacturer's instructions. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line.
   • Securely reinsert the 2-in-1 water tank into the main unit.

4. Connect Hose and Cleaning Head: Attach the flexible hose to the designated port on the main unit. Then, securely attach the cleaning head to the other end of the flexible hose. Ensure all connections are firm to prevent leaks.

6. Operating Instructions

Before cleaning, always test the cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the material for colorfastness and material compatibility.

1. Power On: Press the power button on the main unit. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Select Cleaning Mode:
   • Hot Water Mode: Press the hot water button once. The water will begin heating to approximately 65°C (149°F).
   • Steam Mode: Double-press the steam button. The water will heat to approximately 100°C (212°F). Allow a few moments for the unit to reach the desired temperature.

3. Cleaning Process:
   • Hold the cleaning head firmly against the surface to be cleaned.
   • Press the trigger on the cleaning head to spray water or steam onto the stained area.
   • Slowly move the cleaning head over the area, applying gentle pressure to allow the solution/steam to penetrate the fabric.
   • Release the trigger and slowly move the cleaning head back over the wet area to suction up the dirty water. The 18 kPa suction power ensures efficient removal of liquids and dirt.
   • Repeat passes as necessary until the stain is removed and the water being suctioned into the dirty water tank appears clear.

5. Empty Dirty Water Tank: When the dirty water tank is full (indicated by the 'MAX' line) or after cleaning is complete, remove the 2-in-1 tank and carefully empty the dirty water compartment. Rinse thoroughly.
6. Power Off: Press the power button to turn off the unit. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

7. Maintenance

1. Empty and Rinse Tanks: After each use, empty both the clean and dirty water compartments of the 2-in-1 tank. Rinse them thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue. Allow the tanks to air dry completely before reassembling them into the main unit.
2. Clean Cleaning Head and Hose: Rinse the cleaning head and the inside of the flexible hose with clean water to prevent clogs and buildup. You can run clean water through the system in suction-only mode to flush the hose.
3. Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
4. Storage: Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Ensure the hose is not kinked or bent sharply during storage.
