Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle
Follow these steps to safely jump start your vehicle:
- Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories (lights, radio, AC) are turned off.
- Connect Clamps to Jump Starter: Insert the smart jumper cable connector into the EC5 output port of the AVAPOW jump starter. Ensure a secure connection.
- Connect Clamps to Battery:
- Connect the RED positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Connect the BLACK negative (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
The smart clamps feature spark-proof technology and reverse polarity protection. If connected incorrectly, the device will alert you (e.g., beep and flashing light on A27, error alerts on TJ58 display).
- Check Indicators:
- TJ58 Model: The 4-inch HD display will show "READY" when the connection is correct and the device is ready to start.
- A27 Model: The indicator light on the smart clamp will turn solid green.
- Start the Vehicle: Turn on your vehicle's ignition. If the vehicle does not start immediately, wait 10-15 seconds before trying again. Do not crank for more than 3 seconds per attempt.
- Remove Clamps: Once the vehicle starts, immediately disconnect the BLACK negative (-) clamp first, then the RED positive (+) clamp. Finally, disconnect the smart jumper cable from the jump starter.

Force Start Function (TJ58 Model)
If the vehicle battery is extremely low or completely dead, the "READY" indicator may not light up. In such cases, the TJ58 model offers a Force Start function:
- Connect the clamps to the vehicle battery as described above.
- Press and hold the "Force Start" button on the TJ58 unit for 3 seconds. The display will show a "Forced Start Indicator".
- Immediately attempt to start the vehicle.
- Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the clamps as instructed previously.

Using as a Power Bank and Flashlight
Both models can also serve as portable power banks and feature an integrated LED flashlight.
- Power Bank: Use the USB-A output port (and USB-C output on TJ58) to charge mobile phones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices.
- Flashlight: Press the power button (or dedicated flashlight button if present) to cycle through different light modes (e.g., steady, strobe, SOS).
Maintenance
- Recharge After Each Use: For optimal performance and longevity, recharge the jump starter after every use.
- Regular Recharging: If not used frequently, recharge the device every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
- Storage: Store the jump starter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
