Setup and Installation
This section provides instructions for installing your Vissani window air conditioner. A window opening with a maximum width of 36 inches is required.
Before Installation:
- Read all instructions before beginning.
- Ensure you have all necessary tools (screwdriver, measuring tape, level).
- Choose a window that is structurally sound and can support the weight of the unit.
Window Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Window: Open the window and clean the sill area.
- Attach Top Rail: Secure the top rail to the top of the air conditioner unit with screws.
- Install Side Panels: Slide the accordion side panels into the side channels of the unit.
- Place Unit in Window: Carefully lift the unit and place it in the window opening, ensuring the bottom rail rests on the window sill. Tilt the unit slightly outwards to allow for proper drainage.
- Extend Side Panels: Extend the accordion side panels to fill the window opening and secure them to the window frame with screws.
- Secure Window: Lower the window sash behind the top rail of the unit. Install the sash lock and foam seals to prevent air leakage and provide security.

Operating Instructions
Your Vissani air conditioner can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.
Control Panel Functions:
- ON/OFF Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.
- MODE Button: Cycles through operating modes: Auto, Cool, Dry (Dehumidify), Fan.
- FAN Button: Adjusts fan speed (Low, Med, High) in Fan mode. In Cool or Auto mode, it adjusts fan speed for cooling.
- Temperature Up/Down Arrows: Adjusts the desired temperature setting.
- ECO Mode: Activates energy-saving operation. The fan will turn off when the compressor cycles off and will cycle on periodically to check room temperature.
- TIMER Button: Sets a delay start or delay stop time (up to 24 hours).
- SLEEP Button: Activates sleep mode, which gradually increases the set temperature over several hours for energy efficiency and comfort during sleep.
- FILTER Button: The filter clean warning light will illuminate after approximately 250 hours of operation. Press this button after cleaning the filter to reset the timer.
Remote Control Functions:

The remote control duplicates most functions of the control panel and adds the "I Sense" feature.
- I SENSE Button: When activated, the remote control acts as a thermostat, sensing the temperature at its location and adjusting the air conditioner's operation accordingly. This provides more precise temperature control in your immediate vicinity.
- C/F Button: Toggles the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- LED Display Button: Turns the LED display on the unit on or off.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air conditioner.
Cleaning the Air Filter:
- Turn Off and Unplug: Always turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Remove Filter: Open the front grille and carefully slide out the air filter.
- Clean Filter: Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. For heavy dust, a vacuum cleaner can be used first.
- Dry Filter: Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat.
- Reinstall Filter: Slide the dry filter back into its position and close the front grille.
- Reset Filter Light: Press the "FILTER" button on the control panel or remote to reset the filter clean warning light.
Recommendation: Clean the air filter every two weeks or more frequently if the unit is used in a dusty environment.
Cleaning the Unit Casing:
- Wipe the casing with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
Winter Storage:
- If storing the unit for an extended period, clean the air filter and ensure the unit is dry.
- Store the unit in an upright position in a dry, cool place.
