4. Setup and Initial Pairing
4.1 Charging the Earbuds and Case
- Place the earbuds into the charging case.
- Connect the USB Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the case and to a power source.
- The indicator light on the case will show charging status. Ensure the case and earbuds are fully charged before first use.
A 10-minute charge provides approximately 220 minutes of playtime.

4.2 Pairing with a Device
- Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth.
- Search for available Bluetooth devices and select "pTron Bassbuds Zen".
- Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Touch Controls
The pTron Bassbuds Zen feature intuitive touch controls on each earbud. Functions can be customized via the 'Original Sound' app.

6. App Support: 'Original Sound' App
Enhance your listening experience by downloading the 'Original Sound' app, available on both Play Store and Apple App Store. The app allows you to:

- Choose from preset Equalizer (EQ) settings or create your own
- Switch between game and music modes

7. Dual-Device Pairing
The Bassbuds Zen support simultaneous connection to two devices. This allows for seamless switching between, for example, a laptop for music and a phone for calls.
- Pair the earbuds with your first device (e.g., smartphone) as described in Section 4.2.
- Disable Bluetooth on the first device. The earbuds will re-enter pairing mode.
- Pair the earbuds with your second device (e.g., laptop).
- Re-enable Bluetooth on your first device. The earbuds should automatically connect to both devices.
- To switch audio, simply play media on the desired device.

8. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) & Transparency Mode
The Bassbuds Zen offer advanced noise control features:
8.1 Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
ANC reduces ambient noise by up to 35dB, providing an immersive listening experience free from distractions. This is ideal for travel, busy environments, or focusing on audio content.

8.2 Transparency Mode
Transparency Mode allows you to hear your surroundings without removing the earbuds. This is useful for conversations, announcements, or maintaining awareness of traffic.

8.3 Switching Modes
Long press the touch control area on the left earbud to cycle between ANC, Transparency Mode, and Normal Mode.
9. Charging
The earbuds provide up to 55 hours of total playtime with the charging case. The case uses a Type-C port for fast charging.
- Earbud Charging: Place earbuds into the case. They will charge automatically.
- Case Charging: Connect the Type-C cable to the case and a DC5V-1A max power adapter.
- Quick Charge: A 10-minute charge of the case can provide approximately 220 minutes of earbud playtime.
10. IPX5 Water Resistance
The pTron Bassbuds Zen earbuds are IPX5 water/sweat resistant, making them suitable for workouts and light rain. They are not designed for submersion in water.
Caution: The charging case is NOT water resistant. Do not expose the charging case to liquids.
11. Maintenance and Care
- Clean the earbuds and charging case regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Store the earbuds in their charging case when not in use to protect them and keep them charged.
- Keep the charging contacts on both the earbuds and the case clean to ensure proper charging.
- Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
