Note:

  1. The product does not require an external button for automatic reclosing.
  2. When manually controlling the opening and closing of the switch, an external control button is required.
  3. A normally open self-reset button is used; other button types are not applicable.

5.2 Terminal Connections

The device features dedicated terminals for power, control signals, and auxiliary signals. Ensure correct wire gauges are used as specified in the specifications section.

6. Operating Modes

The circuit breaker supports both automatic and manual operating modes, selectable via a switch on the device.

6.1 Automatic/Manual Switching

Use the AUTO/MANU switch to select the desired operating mode.

ModeDescription
AUTO ModeThe circuit breaker will automatically restore after a fault.
MANU ModeManual re-activation is required after a fault. Remote control opening and closing are deactivated.

Note: After the "LOCK" lock is activated, the circuit breaker cannot be closed to protect electrical safety and prevent accidental contact.

6.2 LED Digital Display

The integrated LED display provides visual feedback on the device's status and operational counts.

ModeLED Indication
AUTO ModeRed flashing indicates opening; Green flashing indicates closing.
MANU ModeYellow light is always on for manual opening and closing. The display shows the number of opening and closing times, and the countdown time for closing recovery.

6.3 Self-Locking Mode

To ensure safety, the device enters a self-locking mode after multiple consecutive circuit faults:

  1. First fault: The circuit breaker automatically closes after 9 seconds.
  2. Second fault: The circuit breaker automatically closes after 59 seconds.
  3. Third fault: The circuit breaker automatically closes after 299 seconds.
  4. Fourth fault: The circuit breaker enters self-locking mode. Manual reclosing is required after checking circuit safety.

7. Maintenance

The DEWIN Automatic Recloser RCCB Circuit Breaker is designed for minimal maintenance. Regular checks should include:

  • Visually inspect the device for any signs of damage or overheating.
  • Ensure all terminal connections remain tight.
  • Periodically test the RCCB functionality according to local regulations (e.g., using the 'Test Monthly' button if available).
  • Keep the device free from dust and moisture.

8. Troubleshooting

If the circuit breaker is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • Device not reclosing automatically: Check if the device is in MANU mode. Switch to AUTO mode if automatic reclosing is desired.
  • Device in self-locking mode: If the device has tripped multiple times consecutively, it will enter self-locking mode. This is indicated by the display. A manual inspection of the circuit for faults is required before manually reclosing the breaker.
  • No display or indicator lights: Check the power supply to the device.
  • Persistent tripping: This indicates a persistent fault in the circuit. Do not attempt to repeatedly reclose the breaker. Identify and rectify the underlying electrical fault.

For issues not resolved by these steps, consult a qualified electrician.

9. Application

This intelligent circuit breaker is suitable for a wide range of applications where automatic reclosing and enhanced electrical safety are beneficial. These include:

  • Unmanned mobile phone base stations
  • Elevators
  • Smart homes
  • Smart factories
  • New energy vehicle charging piles

Important: It cannot be used for individual photovoltaic systems.
