Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Remove any protective film or stickers.
- Initial Cleaning: Wash the carafe, permanent filter, and removable water reservoir in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth.
- Positioning: Place the coffee maker on a clean, dry, level surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance above and around the unit for proper ventilation and access to the water reservoir and brew basket.
- Fill Water Reservoir: Remove the 70-oz water reservoir by lifting it straight up. Fill it with fresh, filtered water to the desired level indicated on the side. Replace the reservoir securely onto the base.
- Insert Filter: Place the permanent filter into the brew basket. If using a paper filter (size #4 cone filter), place it inside the permanent filter.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Use the included Ninja Smart Scoop to add your desired amount of coffee grounds to the filter. Refer to the scoop markings for recommended measurements based on brew size and strength.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
Operating Instructions
1. Select Brew Size:
Use the dial on the control panel to select your desired brew size. Options typically include:
- Cup (single serving)
- Travel (for travel mugs)
- Multi-Serve (larger single servings)
- Half Carafe
- Full Carafe (14 cups)

2. Select Brew Style:
Choose your preferred brew style using the buttons below the size dial:
- Classic: For a smooth, balanced cup of coffee.
- Rich: For a bolder, more intense coffee concentrate.

3. Specialty Brews (Frother):
The integrated frother allows you to create frothed milk for lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty drinks.
- Swing out the frother arm located on the left side of the unit.
- Pour cold milk into a mug.
- Submerge the frother whisk into the milk.
- Press the frother button on the top of the arm to activate. Froth until desired consistency is reached (approx. 30-60 seconds).
- Turn off the frother and swing the arm back into its storage position.

4. Start Brewing:
Press the BREW button to begin the brewing cycle. The coffee maker will automatically dispense the correct amount of water based on your selections.
5. Delay Brew:
To program a delayed brew:
- Prepare your coffee maker with water and grounds as usual.
- Press the DELAY BREW button.
- Use the H (hour) and M (minute) buttons to set the desired start time.
- The DELAY BREW indicator light will illuminate, confirming the setting.

6. Adjustable Warming Plate:
The warming plate automatically activates after brewing to keep your coffee hot. You can adjust the warming time up to 4 hours using the KEEP WARM button.

Maintenance & Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your coffee maker.
1. Daily Cleaning:
- Carafe: Wash the glass carafe and lid in warm, soapy water after each use. It is also dishwasher safe.
- Permanent Filter & Brew Basket: Remove the permanent filter and brew basket. Discard used coffee grounds. Wash both components in warm, soapy water. They are also dishwasher safe.
- Water Reservoir: The removable water reservoir can be washed in warm, soapy water.
- Frother Whisk: The frother whisk detaches for easy hand-cleaning.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth.

2. Descaling:
Over time, mineral deposits can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance. The CLEAN indicator light will illuminate when descaling is recommended.
- Pour 16 oz. of white vinegar into the water reservoir, then fill the rest of the reservoir with water to the MAX fill line.
- Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the CLEAN button. The cleaning cycle will begin and typically takes about 20-30 minutes.
- Once the cycle is complete, discard the cleaning solution from the carafe.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh water to the MAX fill line and run a full carafe Classic brew cycle to rinse the system. Repeat if necessary.
