4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Camera

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the camera's charging port.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The indicator light will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, off when fully charged). Allow approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge.

4.2. Inserting a Micro SD Card (Optional)

A Micro SD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 128GB, not included) is required for local video storage and loop recording.

  1. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the camera.
  2. Gently insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in again until it springs out.
  4. It is recommended to format the Micro SD card via the mobile application after insertion for optimal performance.

4.3. App Download and Installation

The QZT L30 camera operates via a dedicated mobile application. Search for the app name (e.g., 'O-KAM Pro' or as specified in the packaging) in your device's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android) and install it.

4.4. Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  2. Power on the camera by pressing and holding the power button until the indicator light flashes.
  3. Open the installed mobile application and create an account or log in.
  4. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. This typically involves scanning a QR code generated by the app with the camera, or connecting to the camera's temporary Wi-Fi hotspot.
  5. Once connected, the camera's indicator light will change to a steady blue or green, indicating a successful connection.

4.5. Mounting the Camera

The camera features a magnetic base for easy placement. Use the included mounting bracket for more permanent installations.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Live View

Open the mobile application and select your camera from the device list to access the live video feed. You can view real-time footage, take snapshots, and record video directly from the app interface.

5.2. Recording Video and Taking Photos

  • Manual Recording: While in live view, tap the record button in the app to start/stop recording. Videos will be saved to your phone or the Micro SD card.
  • Automatic Recording: If a Micro SD card is inserted and formatted, the camera will automatically record based on your settings (e.g., continuous recording, motion-triggered recording).
  • Snapshots: Tap the camera icon in the app to capture a still image from the live feed.

5.3. Motion Detection

The camera can detect movement and send alerts to your smartphone.
