1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your firstrend 8-Channel 1080P Wireless Security Camera System. This system includes a Network Video Recorder (NVR) with a pre-installed 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and four 2MP wireless cameras, designed for reliable 24/7 surveillance with features like night vision, motion alerts, and remote access.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Package Contents

Verify that all items are present in your package:

2.2 System Connection

Follow these steps to connect your security camera system:

  1. Connect the NVR to a monitor or TV using an HDMI or VGA cable.
  2. Connect the USB mouse to the NVR's USB port.
  3. Connect the NVR to your router using the provided Ethernet cable for remote access features.
  4. Connect the NVR power adapter to the NVR and plug it into a power outlet.
  5. Connect each camera to its respective 12V 1A power cord and plug them into power outlets.
  6. The cameras and NVR will automatically pair.

Note: While the cameras are wireless for video transmission, they require a power connection for continuous operation.

2.3 Camera Installation

The cameras are IP66 weatherproof and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Use the provided screw bag to mount the cameras in desired locations. Ensure cameras are within range of the NVR's wireless signal and have access to a power outlet.

3. Operating the System

3.1 Recording Modes

The NVR is equipped with a 1TB HDD for continuous 24/7 recording. You can customize recording schedules via the NVR interface to suit your specific needs. The system supports H.265 video compression for efficient storage.

3.2 Night Vision

The cameras feature clear night vision up to 65 feet, ensuring surveillance day and night. The system automatically switches between day and night modes based on ambient light conditions.

3.3 Motion Detection and Alerts

The system includes AI human detection and motion-triggered alerts. You can receive notifications via email or the mobile app when motion is detected. Configure settings properly to avoid excessive alerts.

3.4 Remote Access and Playback

Download the free firstrend app from the App Store or Google Play to view live footage and review past recordings from your smartphone, tablet, or PC. Ensure your NVR is connected to your router via Ethernet cable for remote functionality.

3.5 Video Backup

To back up recorded video, ensure the footage is stored on your NVR's hard drive. Use a USB 2.0 storage device. Insert the USB into an available USB port on the NVR. Navigate the NVR menu using the mouse to select "Video backup". Choose the desired channels and time frame, then initiate the backup process. Format the USB to FAT32 if necessary.
