3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps for initial setup of your Temrix PR801W Trail Camera:

  1. Prepare the Camera: Remove any protective plastic covers from the camera lens and PIR sensor.
  2. Check TF Card: Ensure the TF (Micro SD) card is properly installed. The camera comes with a 32GB memory card.
  3. Download the App: Download the 'TrailCam Go' app on your smartphone from your device's app store.
  4. Power On for Test: Switch the camera to the TEST position. Wait for the screen to light up.
  5. Access Settings: Press the MENU button to enter the camera's parameter settings. Adjust modes, resolutions, and other preferences as needed.

  • No motion detection: Verify the PIR sensor is clear. Adjust PIR sensitivity settings in the menu/app. Ensure the camera is in 'ON' mode.
  • App connection issues: Ensure your smartphone is within 45 feet of the camera. Confirm Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on your phone and the camera. The camera does not support connection to a home Wi-Fi network.
  • Video format (AVI) compatibility: The camera records in AVI format. It is recommended to download videos to your phone, which will convert them to MP4, or use a conversion tool if viewing on other devices.
