4. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your dash cam.

4.1 Initial Setup

  1. Insert Memory Card: Ensure the 64GB memory card (or a compatible Class 10, U3 speed card up to 256GB) is inserted correctly into the dash cam.
  2. Attach Mount: Secure the magnetic bracket with GPS to the dash cam.

4.2 Front Camera Installation

  1. Choose Location: Select a location on your windshield, preferably behind the rearview mirror, that does not obstruct your view.
  2. Clean Surface: Clean the chosen area on the windshield thoroughly with an alcohol wipe and let it dry.
  3. Apply Electrostatic Sticker: Apply one electrostatic sticker to the cleaned area. This helps in easy removal and repositioning without leaving residue.
  4. Attach Dash Cam: Peel off the protective film from the adhesive on the magnetic mount and firmly press it onto the electrostatic sticker. Hold for 30 seconds.
  5. Connect Power: Route the 12ft power supply cable from the dash cam along the windshield edge, down the A-pillar, and to your car's cigarette lighter socket. Use the provided cable clips and pry tool to tuck the cable neatly.

4.3 Rear Camera Installation

  1. Choose Location: Mount the rear camera on the rear windshield, ensuring a clear view of the road behind.
  2. Route Cable: Connect the rear camera cable to the main dash cam unit. Route this cable along the headliner, down the C-pillar, and to the rear camera. Use cable clips to secure it.
  3. Secure Camera: Attach the rear camera using its adhesive mount to the chosen spot on the rear windshield.

4.4 Powering On

Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts.

5.2 Voice Control

The M550 Pro supports 10 voice commands for hands-free operation. Simply speak the command clearly.

5.3 Wi-Fi & App Control

Connect your dash cam to the "AZDOME" app on your smartphone for advanced control and file management.

  1. Install App: Download the "AZDOME" app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Enable Wi-Fi: Turn on the dash cam's Wi-Fi.
  3. Connect Phone: On your phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password usually found on the dash cam screen or manual). Turn off cellular data and VPN on your phone for a stable connection.
  4. Open App: Launch the AZDOME app and follow the prompts to add your dash cam.
  5. Functions: Use the app for live view, playback, downloading videos (5.8GHz Wi-Fi offers faster downloads), and sharing footage.

5.5 Parking Mode

To enable 24-hour parking monitoring, a separate 3-lead hardwire kit (ASIN: B0BM9JL327) is required. Once installed, the dash cam will automatically detect collisions and record footage while your vehicle is parked.
