Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Always ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface away from edges.
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Keep out of reach of children. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors. This appliance is for indoor use only.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
• Exercise extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot liquid.
• This appliance has a boil-dry protection feature. If the water level is too low, the heating element will automatically shut off.

Setup

Before first use, and after each use, ensure the urn is properly cleaned. Refer to the 'Maintenance and Cleaning' section for detailed instructions.

1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the urn for any damage. Do not use if damaged.
2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the urn body, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Placement: Place the coffee urn on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit and that it is away from flammable materials.
4. Assemble Filter: Place the permanent stainless steel filter basket onto the central stem inside the urn.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew coffee with your FOHERE Commercial Coffee Urn:

1. Add Water: Pour cold, fresh water into the urn. Use the water level viewing window on the side to ensure you do not exceed the maximum fill line (15L).
2. Add Coffee Grounds: Place the desired amount of ground coffee into the permanent stainless steel filter basket. For best results, use coarse to medium-coarse grounds. Do not overfill the filter basket.
3. Secure Lid: Place the lid securely on the urn.
4. Plug In and Power On: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Flip the On/Off switch to the 'On' position. The red 'Heating' indicator light will illuminate.
5. Brewing Process: The urn will begin heating the water and brewing the coffee. The brewing process for 15 liters can take approximately 60 minutes.
6. Keep Warm Function: Once the coffee reaches its optimal brewing temperature (around 100°C), the red 'Heating' light will turn off, and the orange 'Keep Warm' light will illuminate. The urn will automatically maintain the coffee at a serving temperature (between 70°C and 100°C).
7. Dispense Coffee: To dispense coffee, place a cup under the faucet and push the lever down for a continuous flow, or lift it up for a controlled pour. The two-level spout allows for regulated flow.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee urn.

1. Disconnect Power: Always unplug the urn from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Empty and Rinse: Empty any remaining coffee. Remove the lid and filter basket. Rinse the interior of the urn and the filter basket with warm water.
3. Wash Components: Wash the urn interior, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water using a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel.
4. Clean Faucet: Ensure the faucet is clean and free of coffee residue. You may need to run warm water through it.
5. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the urn with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly.
6. Descaling (Monthly or as needed): Over time, mineral deposits can build up. To descale, fill the urn with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Turn on the urn and let it heat for 15-20 minutes (do not brew coffee). Turn off, unplug, and let it sit for an hour. Drain the solution and rinse the urn thoroughly several times with fresh water to remove any vinegar odor.
7. Dishwasher Safety: The FOHERE 15L Commercial Coffee Urn is NOT dishwasher safe. Hand wash all components.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal use. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accident, alteration, neglect, or unauthorized repair.
