7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your solar LED floodlight.
- Clean the Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
- Check Connections: Ensure all cable connections remain secure and free from corrosion.
- Inspect for Damage: Regularly check the floodlight and solar panel for any physical damage.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on at night. | Insufficient solar panel charging. Remote control not activated. Sensor obstructed. | Ensure solar panel is in direct sunlight for 4-6 hours daily. Clean the solar panel. Press "WAKE UP" on the remote. Check for obstructions blocking the light sensor. |
| Light is dim or only stays on for a short period. | Insufficient charge due to cloudy weather or poor panel placement. Battery degradation over time. | Relocate solar panel for better sun exposure. Ensure panel is clean. Battery lifespan is limited; consider replacement if performance significantly drops after several years. |
| Remote control not working. | Battery dead or insulation sheet not removed. Out of range. | Replace remote control battery or remove insulation sheet. Operate within 8 meters of the floodlight. |
