Setup Instructions

1. Battery Installation

The Spedal Luggage Tracker Tag uses a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, which is typically pre-installed. If you need to install or replace the battery:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the tracker.
  2. Gently twist or pry open the cover using a small tool or coin.
  3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

A fresh CR2032 battery provides up to 2 years of operation.

2. Pairing with Your Device

The Spedal Tracker Tag is compatible with both Google Find My Device (for Android 9+ phones) and Apple Find My network (for iPhones). You can only connect to one network at a time. Switching between networks requires a device reset.

For Android Devices (Google Find My Device):

  1. Ensure your Android phone (Android 9 or higher) has Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Download and install the "Find Hub" app from the Google Play Store.
  3. Open the Find Hub app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device.
  4. Press and hold the button on your Spedal Tracker Tag until it enters pairing mode (indicated by a light or sound).
  5. Select your tracker from the list of available devices in the app to complete pairing.

For iOS Devices (Apple Find My Network):

  1. Ensure your iPhone has Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Open the Apple Find My app.
  3. Go to the "Items" tab and tap "Add Item" or the "+" icon.
  4. Press and hold the button on your Spedal Tracker Tag until it enters pairing mode.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Find My app to connect your tracker.

Note: If you switch between Android and iOS, you will need to reset the tracker and pair it again with the new device/network.

Operating Instructions

1. Locating Your Items

There are two primary ways to locate your items:

2. Ringing Your Tracker

If your item is nearby but out of sight, you can make the tracker emit a loud sound (up to 80dB) to help you pinpoint its exact location. Open your tracking app and select the "Play Sound" option for the desired tracker. Follow the sound to retrieve your item.

3. Sharing Location and Lost Mode

4. Left Behind Notifications

Configure "Left Behind" alerts in your app to receive notifications if you move away from your tracker, preventing accidental loss. You can set specific rules based on location or device.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement
