2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the cleaner and accessories for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, do not use the product and contact customer support.

2.2 Charging the Cleaner

  1. Ensure the charging port on the cleaner is dry and free of debris.
  2. Connect the charging cable to the cleaner and then to a power outlet.
  3. The indicator lights on the cleaner will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 4 hours.
  4. Disconnect the charger once fully charged.

2.3 App Installation (Optional)

For enhanced control and monitoring, download the official AIPER app from your device's app store. The app works on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Note that app control is only available when the cleaner is out of the pool. Firmware updates can also be managed via the app.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Selecting a Cleaning Mode

The Scuba S1 Pro offers 5 cleaning modes. You can select modes using the power button or the AIPER app (for Wall-only mode and detailed settings).

3.2 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

  1. Ensure the cleaner is fully charged.
  2. Select your desired cleaning mode using the power button or the app.
  3. Gently submerge the cleaner into the pool. The cleaner will activate automatically once submerged.
  4. The cleaner will operate for its programmed cycle duration (up to 180 minutes depending on mode and battery level).

3.3 Retrieving the Cleaner

Once the cleaning cycle is complete or the battery is low, the cleaner will typically park itself near a pool wall. Use the provided hook (attachable to a standard pool pole) to retrieve the unit from the water. The motors will stop automatically when the cleaner senses it is out of water.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Filter Basket

Regular cleaning of the filter basket is crucial for maintaining optimal cleaning performance.

  1. After each use, remove the filter basket from the cleaner.
  2. Empty any collected debris.
  3. Rinse the 180-micron primary filter and the 3-micron secondary filter thoroughly with a hose until clean.
  4. Ensure the filters are completely dry before reinserting them into the cleaner.

4.2 General Cleaning and Storage

Wipe down the exterior of the cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Store the cleaner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods. Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) before long-term storage to preserve battery health.
