4. Operation
4.1 Wet vs. Dry Trimming
The trimmer supports both wet and dry material. The key difference is the use of the dry trimming grate:
- Dry Trimming: Insert the dry trimming grate into the bowl. This grate helps process drier, more brittle material effectively.
- Wet Trimming: Remove the dry trimming grate. This allows for more direct contact with the blades, suitable for fresh, wet material.

4.2 Electric Mode
- Ensure the trimmer is properly assembled and plugged in.
- Place your material into the bowl. The clear lid allows you to monitor the process.
- Turn on the power switch on the motor unit.
- Adjust the rotor speed dial to your desired setting. The stepless speed control allows for fine-tuning based on material type and desired trim quality.
- The lid can be partially opened during operation for continuous feeding without interruption.
- Once trimming is complete, tilt the entire unit using the support bracket to discharge the trimmed material through the discharge port into the collection bag or a separate container.
4.3 Manual Mode
For situations without power or for a more controlled trimming experience, the manual mode can be used:
- Remove the electric motor unit from the lid.
- Attach the manual hand crank to the central shaft on the lid.
- Place your material into the bowl.
- Rotate the hand crank to activate the blades and silicone sweepers. The ergonomic design ensures comfortable operation.
- After trimming, tilt the unit to discharge the material as described in the electric mode.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your trimmer.
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the trimmer from the power source before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Disassembly: The trimmer is designed for easy disassembly. Unlatch the lid, remove the motor (if applicable), and detach the blades and silicone sweepers for thorough cleaning.
- Cleaning Blades & Bowl: Use warm, soapy water and a soft brush or cloth to clean the stainless steel blades, bowl, and grates. For stubborn residue, a mild solvent suitable for stainless steel can be used. Ensure all parts are thoroughly rinsed and dried.
- Cleaning Silicone Sweepers: The food-grade silicone sweepers can be cleaned with warm, soapy water.
- Collection Bag: Empty and clean the collection bag after each use. It can typically be hand-washed or machine-washed on a gentle cycle.
- Reassembly: Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembling the trimmer.
- Storage: Store the trimmer in a clean, dry place when not in use.
