Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Initial Cleaning:
    • Wash the inner pot, sealing ring, and lid components with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
    • Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  3. Assemble:
    • Place the inner pot into the main unit. Ensure it sits flat and securely.
    • Install the condensation collector on the back of the main unit.
    • Ensure the sealing ring is properly seated inside the lid.
  4. Placement: Place the pressure cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface away from heat sources and flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.

Operating Instructions

General Operation:

  1. Add ingredients to the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  2. Place the lid on the cooker and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the steam release valve is in the "Seal" position for pressure cooking.
  3. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will show "OFF".
  4. Select your desired cooking function (e.g., Pressure Cook, Rice, Saute).
  5. Adjust the cooking time using the "+" and "-" buttons if necessary.
  6. Press "Start" to begin cooking. The cooker will preheat, then begin the cooking cycle.
  7. Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode.

Steam Release:

There are two methods for releasing pressure:

  • Natural Release: Allow the pressure to dissipate naturally. This is recommended for foamy foods or large cuts of meat. The float valve will drop when pressure is released.
  • Quick Release: Carefully turn the steam release valve to the "Vent" position. WARNING: Keep hands and face away from the steam release vent to avoid burns. The float valve will drop once all pressure is released.

Specific Functions:

  • Saute: Press "Saute". Use the +/- buttons to adjust time (1-60 minutes). Press "Start". Add oil/ingredients once hot.
  • Pressure Cook: Press "Pressure Cook". Adjust time (1-24 hours). Press "Start".
  • Slow Cook: Press "Slow Cook". Adjust time (1-24 hours). Press "Start".
  • Rice: Press "Rice". The cooker will automatically determine the cooking time. Press "Start".
  • Delay Start: Select a cooking function, then press "Delay Start". Use +/- to set the delay time (up to 24 hours). Press "Start".

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Carori Electric Pressure Cooker.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Pot: The ceramic nonstick inner pot is dishwasher-safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  3. Lid: The lid is dishwasher-safe. Remove the sealing ring and wash separately. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.
  4. Sealing Ring: Inspect the sealing ring for cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
  5. Steam Release Valve & Float Valve: Ensure these are clear of food debris. Clean with a small brush if needed.
  6. Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  7. Condensation Collector: Empty and clean after each use.

Troubleshooting
