Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or return if necessary.
  2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface, away from flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  3. First Use: Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest shade setting (Level 6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press the POWER button on the touchscreen to turn the toaster on or off.

General Toasting Steps

  1. Insert bread slices into the toaster slots.
  2. Press the POWER button to activate the touchscreen.
  3. Select Bread Type: Choose from the 5 available bread icons (Bread, Bagel, Waffle, Pastry, English Muffin) on the touchscreen. This optimizes the toasting cycle for the specific item.
  4. Select Shade Setting: Choose your desired browning level from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest) by tapping the corresponding shade icon.
  5. Start Toasting: Press the lever down to begin the toasting cycle. The countdown timer will display on the screen.
  6. Cancel: To stop toasting at any time, press the CANCEL button (X icon) on the touchscreen.

Special Functions

  • Defrost Function: For frozen bread. After selecting your bread type and shade setting, tap the DEFROST icon (snowflake). The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time.
  • Reheat Function: To warm up already toasted bread without further browning. After inserting the bread, tap the REHEAT icon (wavy lines).
  • Memory Function: The toaster can remember your last used settings for bread type and shade. To activate, simply press the MEMORY icon (heart) after selecting your desired settings. The next time you power on, these settings will be pre-selected.
  • Single Slice Toasting: To toast a single slice, select the SINGLE SLICE icon (slice of bread with '1'). This optimizes energy usage for one slice.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Toaster

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior: Wipe the exterior stainless steel housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
  3. Crumb Tray: The toaster features a full-width slide-out crumb tray for easy cleaning. Pull out the crumb tray from the bottom of the toaster, discard crumbs, and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.

Storage

Ensure the toaster is clean and completely cool before storing. The power cord can be wrapped around the cord storage slot at the bottom of the toaster for neat storage.

Troubleshooting
