2. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all components are present and clean. The grinder consists of the main body, the handle, and the collection cup.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove the grinder, handle, collection cup, and cleaning brush from the packaging.
2. Attach Handle: Insert the handle onto the top shaft of the grinder body. Ensure it is securely seated.
3. Attach Collection Cup: Twist the collection cup onto the bottom of the grinder body until it is firmly attached.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Adjusting Grind Size

The TIMEMORE C5 Pro offers precise grind size adjustment. To change the grind setting:

1. Remove the collection cup from the bottom of the grinder.
2. Locate the adjustment dial at the bottom of the grinder body, near the burrs.
3. Rotate the adjustment nut clockwise for a finer grind and anti-clockwise for a coarser grind. Each 'click' represents a minor adjustment of 0.031mm.
4. Refer to the recommended click settings for various brew methods:
• Espresso / Moka: 5-8 clicks
• Pour-over: 10-14 clicks
• French Press: 14-17 clicks
5. Once the desired setting is achieved, reattach the collection cup.

3.2 Grinding Coffee Beans

1. Remove the handle and the top lid of the grinder.
2. Pour your desired amount of whole coffee beans into the top chamber. The capacity is 30g.
3. Place the top lid back on and reattach the handle.
4. Hold the grinder body firmly with one hand and rotate the handle clockwise with the other hand to begin grinding. Continue until all beans have been ground.
5. Once grinding is complete, remove the collection cup to access your freshly ground coffee.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your grinder.

1. Daily Cleaning: After each use, use the provided cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burrs and the collection cup.
2. Important: Do not wash the grinder with water. Water can damage the internal mechanisms and burrs, leading to rust or malfunction.
3. Deep Cleaning (Periodically): For a more thorough cleaning, you may carefully disassemble the collection cup and the adjustment dial to access the burrs. Use the brush to clean all parts. Reassemble carefully, ensuring all parts are correctly aligned.

5. Troubleshooting

• Difficulty Turning Handle: Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the burrs. Check that the grind setting is not set too fine, which can increase resistance.
• Inconsistent Grind: Verify that the adjustment dial is securely set and has not shifted during grinding. Ensure the burrs are clean and free of old coffee residue.
• Beans Not Grinding: Check if the burrs are clogged. Disassemble and clean if necessary. Ensure the handle is properly attached to the shaft.
