4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Speaker
- Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a 5V, 2A USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.
- Once fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off. Disconnect the charging cable.
Note: For optimal battery life, fully charge the speaker before first use.
4.2 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the indicator lights turn on.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the indicator lights turn off.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode. If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to Bluetooth mode. The indicator light will flash, indicating it is ready for pairing.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop).
- Search for available Bluetooth devices and select "Volkano Mini Mamba 2.0" from the list.
- Once paired, the speaker will emit an audible confirmation, and the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.
- You can now play audio from your device through the speaker. The effective range is approximately 10 meters.
5.2 USB Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive (up to 32GB) containing MP3 audio files into the USB port.
- The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playing music. If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button to select USB mode.
- Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track) on the speaker to manage your music.
5.3 AUX Input
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX port on the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to AUX mode.
- Control audio playback and volume from your connected device.
5.4 FM Radio Function
- Press the 'M' (Mode) button repeatedly until you enter FM Radio mode.
- Press and hold the Play/Pause button to automatically scan and save available FM radio stations.
- Use the Next/Previous Track buttons to navigate between saved stations.
5.5 RGB Lighting Control
The speaker features integrated RGB lighting. Press the dedicated light button (if available, or a long press on a specific button as per model design) to cycle through different lighting modes or to turn the lights off.
5.6 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing
To pair two Volkano Mini Mamba 2.0 speakers for True Wireless Stereo sound:
- Ensure both speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not connected to any device.
- On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the TWS pairing button (refer to speaker controls for exact button, often the Play/Pause button or a dedicated TWS button) for a few seconds.
- The speakers will attempt to connect to each other. Once successfully paired, you will hear an audible confirmation.
- Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 5.1. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the surface or internal components.
6.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to charge the battery periodically to maintain its health.
6.3 Water Resistance (IPX5)
The Volkano Mini Mamba 2.0 speaker has an IPX5 water resistance rating. This means it is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is resistant to splashes and light rain but should not be submerged in water. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed before exposing the speaker to water.
