2. Setup
2.1 Power Source
The OSALO OS-12T calculator operates on dual power: solar and battery. In well-lit environments, the solar panel powers the device. In low-light conditions, the built-in battery automatically takes over. The calculator includes an 8-minute auto power-off function to conserve energy.
2.2 Initial Use
Upon first use, ensure sufficient light for solar operation or that the battery is correctly installed. The calculator is ready for use immediately after power-on.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Key Functions Overview

- AC (All Clear): Clears all entries and calculations, resetting the calculator.
- CE (Clear Entry): Clears the last entered number or calculation error.
- ▶ (Backspace): Deletes the last digit entered.
- √ (Square Root): Calculates the square root of the displayed number.
- % (Percentage): Used for percentage calculations.
- GT (Grand Total): Accumulates the results of all calculations. Pressing GT displays the grand total.
- M+ (Memory Plus): Adds the displayed value to the memory.
- M- (Memory Minus): Subtracts the displayed value from the memory.
- MRC (Memory Recall/Clear): Press once to recall the memory value. Press twice to clear the memory.
- RATE (Tax Rate Setting): Used to set the tax rate.
- TAX+ (Tax Plus): Adds tax to the displayed value.
- TAX- (Tax Minus): Subtracts tax from the displayed value.
3.2 Basic Calculations
Perform standard arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) by entering numbers and pressing the corresponding operator keys. Press the = key to display the result.

- To add a number to memory, enter the number and press M+.
- To subtract a number from memory, enter the number and press M-.
- To recall the number stored in memory, press MRC once.
- To clear the memory, press MRC twice.

4.1 Cleaning
To clean the calculator, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the calculator in water.
4.2 Battery Replacement
