Descaling for Hard Water
Hard water can lead to mineral buildup, affecting machine performance and ice quality. Regular descaling is recommended based on your water hardness:
- Moderately Hard Water (61-120mg/L): Descale monthly for best performance.
- Hard to Very Hard Water (121-250mg/L): Descale every 1-2 weeks to ensure peak efficiency.
To descale, run a self-clean cycle with 20 ounces of white vinegar or a dedicated descaling cleaner. Follow the cleaner's instructions for proper dilution and rinsing.
