Setup

1. Battery Installation:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
  2. Carefully open the battery compartment cover. Some models may require turning a small dial or using a pry tool to release the latch, especially the first time. The belt clip may need to be lifted or moved slightly to access the cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Power On:

Press and hold the POWER button to turn on the radio. The display will illuminate, and the radio will start playing from the last tuned station or a default frequency.

Radio does not power on.
  • Batteries are depleted or incorrectly installed. Replace with fresh AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

  • Antenna is not extended. Fully extend the telescopic antenna.
  • Radio is in a poor reception area. Reposition the radio or move to an open area.
  • Interference from electronic devices. Move the radio away from other electronics.
  • For SW bands, reception can vary greatly with time of day and atmospheric conditions.
Difficulty tuning to a specific station.
  • The tuning dial is sensitive. Turn the tuning knob slowly and precisely.
  • Use the signal indicator light to assist in finding the strongest signal.
Buttons are unresponsive.
  • The lock function may be active. Press the LOCK button to deactivate it.
No sound from speaker when headphones are unplugged.
  • Ensure headphones are fully unplugged.
  • Check volume level.
