3. Setup & Installation
The Garvee 50-inch Electric Fireplace Insert supports both recessed and wall-mounted installation methods. Choose the method that best suits your space.
3.1 Dimensions
Before installation, ensure your chosen location can accommodate the fireplace dimensions. The product dimensions are 56.5"D x 7.28"W x 18.31"H. For recessed installation, the recommended opening size is approximately 50" to 50.4" in width and 17" to 18.11" in height, with a depth of 7.09" to 8.69".

3.2 Installation Methods
This fireplace offers versatile installation options:
- Recessed Installation: The unit can be fully inserted into a wall opening, providing a flush, built-in appearance.
- Wall-Mounted Installation: The unit can be mounted directly onto a wall surface using the provided brackets.

3.3 General Installation Steps
- Unpack the fireplace and all components. Inspect for any damage.
- Choose a suitable location, ensuring it is away from water sources and has a grounded electrical outlet.
- For recessed installation, prepare the wall opening according to the dimensions provided. For wall-mounted, mark the mounting points.
- Secure the mounting brackets (if wall-mounting) or insert the unit into the recessed opening.
- Install the decorative media (logs or crystals) into the ember bed.
- Plug the fireplace into a grounded electrical outlet.
4. Operation
The Garvee electric fireplace can be operated using the included remote control or the touch screen panel on the unit.

4.1 Remote Control Functions

- Temperature Control: Set the desired room temperature between 62-82°F.
- Timer: Set an automatic shut-off timer from 0.5 to 9 hours.
