6. Drainage Options
Your Homtronics dehumidifier offers two convenient ways to remove collected water.

Image: Illustration of the two drainage methods: using the internal water tank or connecting a continuous drain hose.
6.1 Water Tank Drainage
- The dehumidifier is equipped with a 2-liter water tank.
- When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off, and an indicator light will illuminate to remind you to empty it.
- Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
- Empty the collected water.
- Slide the empty water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

Image: The water tank is easily removable for emptying.
6.2 Continuous Drainage
- For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, use the included 1-meter (3.28 ft) drain hose.
- Locate the continuous drain outlet on the back or side of the unit.
- Remove the rubber stopper (if present) from the drain outlet.
- Connect one end of the drain hose to the outlet, ensuring a secure fit.
- Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain, such as a floor drain or a large container. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow water to flow freely by gravity. Do not allow the hose to kink or be elevated above the unit's drain outlet.
- Once connected, water will continuously drain, eliminating the need for manual tank emptying.
