1. Introduction

The Inficon D-TEK Pro Refrigerant Leak Detector is designed for precise and rapid detection of refrigerant leaks. This device offers high sensitivity and an all-in-one Pro Mode for efficient leak identification. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your D-TEK Pro.

4.1 Charging the Device

The D-TEK Pro is powered by a rechargeable battery. Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the provided charging cable to the charging port on the D-TEK Pro.
  2. Plug the other end of the charging cable into a suitable power source.
  3. The charging indicator on the device will illuminate. Allow sufficient time for a full charge.

4.2 Attaching the Phone Holder

The included phone holder allows for convenient mobile device integration.

  1. Locate the attachment point for the phone holder on the D-TEK Pro.
  2. Securely attach the phone holder according to its design.
  3. Place your mobile device into the holder, ensuring it is stable.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the power button until the display illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button until the device shuts down.

5.2 Using Pro Mode for Leak Detection

The D-TEK Pro features an all-in-one Pro Mode that combines cloud hunting and pinpointing capabilities, allowing for efficient leak location.

  1. Ensure the device is powered on and in Pro Mode (refer to the display for mode indication).
  2. Move the sensor probe slowly around suspected leak areas. The device's superior airflow allows for detection from a greater distance.
  3. The D-TEK Pro will indicate the presence of refrigerants with high sensitivity, detecting down to 0.1 ppm.
  4. Follow the increasing readings to pinpoint the exact leak source.

6.2 Filter Replacement

The D-TEK Pro is designed for low maintenance, requiring no purging and no charcoal filters. However, spare filters are provided for specific applications or if the existing filter becomes visibly soiled or damaged.

  1. Locate the filter housing on the device.

  3. Insert a new spare filter, ensuring it is seated correctly.
