Introduction

The RENAISSER Raphael N520C Stylus is designed to provide a precise and natural writing and drawing experience on compatible Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) devices. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your stylus.

Compatibility

The Raphael N520C Stylus is compatible with devices supporting Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP 2.0). Please verify your device's compatibility before use. For specific models, refer to the list below or contact customer support.

Important: The 2025 New Surface Laptop/Laptop 7/Laptop 6 and Surface Laptop Go series are NOT compatible with this stylus.

Setup

1. Charging the Stylus

The Raphael N520C Stylus features a USB-C charging port. Use any standard USB-C cable (not included) to charge the device. The LED indicator will show charging status.

A 20-minute charge provides approximately 50 hours of use.
A full 1-hour charge provides over 110 hours of use.

The charging port is located on the round side of the stylus, designed to prevent obstruction when attached to a Surface device (though this model does not feature magnetic attachment).

2. Initial Use and Pairing

The Raphael N520C Stylus utilizes MPP 2.0 technology for automatic connection with compatible devices. Simply power on the stylus (if applicable, though typically it's always on or wakes on touch) and begin using it with your device. No manual Bluetooth pairing is generally required for MPP devices.

3. Replacing the Stylus Tip

The stylus comes with one replacement tip (MU1). To replace a worn tip:

Gently pull the old tip straight out from the stylus body.
Insert the new tip firmly into the stylus body until it clicks into place.

Basic Usage

The Raphael N520C Stylus functions like a traditional pen for writing, drawing, and navigating on your compatible touchscreen device. Its MPP 2.0 technology ensures a smooth and responsive experience.

Pressure and Tilt Sensitivity

The stylus supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and tilt sensitivity. This allows for varying line thickness and shading effects, similar to using a real pencil or brush. These features are dependent on the application and pen brushes used.

Side Buttons

The stylus body features two buttons for enhanced functionality:

Right-Click Button: Functions as a right-click for context menus or selection.

Inaccurate or Overly Sensitive Input

Side Buttons Not Functioning
